I've heard cogent reps often pass down smaller contacts to their current customers, though might hasn't ever done that for me :bawling: sure wish they would (one of my friends got over 5k/mo of contacts off them  ) SoftWareRevue 07-13-2002, 09:55 PM I know that EZZI (http://www.ezzi.net) (Long Island New York) was planning on completing a data center (they already had two) this year that was to feature Cogent. I don't know if the project is completed yet. But, it would be worth checking into. [Edit] Fixed that squirelly URL thingy I think I musta been tired when I posted. web_res 07-14-2002, 12:24 AM Side thought: Why would anyone want to colocate in that city? Real-estate there is pretty crazy especially in dowtown manhattan. Even in the so called suburbs the prices are huge. Maybe if the facility was in the outskirts of the city (possibly Long Island) their might be some value to it. driverdave 07-14-2002, 01:52 AM Well, if I lived there and wanted to co-locate a server, it would be nice to walk/take the subway to my server. I think thats one of the attractions of co-location, access to your hardware. apollo 07-14-2002, 01:54 AM check out, nyi.net their datacenter is in Manhattan, in Wall Street area viGeek 07-14-2002, 02:00 AM I beleive their is a DataCenter located in Jersey City(accross the river from nyc), close enough. Im not exactly sure what it is called, however I remember coming it accross it on the web. jayglate 07-14-2002, 02:08 AM NYI.net is in fact virtually on wall st. but they do not have cogent. PS. I never used their services... use at your own risc ;) BiGWill 07-14-2002, 03:08 PM clearblue, colocationny and triservers seeming to have cogent in the mix, out of apollo's list :) |
