View Full Version : WHM autopilot like freeware
Cool Surfer 05-13-2007, 04:59 AM Is there any freeware like whm auto pilot that can be installed on my new dedicated server using cpanel, whm pl.
It would b great if some one can help on this. Thanks
Techark 05-13-2007, 05:11 AM Why?
There is phpcoin I think it is still free.
But as cheap as billing software has gotten surely if you are going to run a business that needs billing you can afford 10 or 15 bucks a month. If not maybe you should reevaluate your decision to go into business.
linux1213 05-13-2007, 05:18 AM Yes, if your running a proper company, its always best to spend that little extra on a billing control panel. Clientexec and WHM AP are both good examples.
Cool Surfer 05-13-2007, 05:36 AM I think these are not the replies I am looking for. I want to know if any one knows of whm autopilot like freeware. I dont need advice to BUY software. I also know thats the best option.
Servers4me 05-13-2007, 05:52 AM You are totally contradicting your signiture in your posts, I think we are going to be seeing you on your way down in the emergency elevator to the basement floor.
People have given you advice, and nows mine, a real host with a proper business plan would not use freeware.

I think even you are not getting my question. You are thinking the bill gates way.
Pay and feel good.
I dont need a sermon on the mount, just name of the software that is a freeware.
Does free mean that it s bad?
Is firefox paid? for that matter linux, php, mysql?
Still I think they r the best.
Vinayak_Sharma 05-13-2007, 06:10 AM Don't argue, this will not lead you any where.
Read the first reply by Techark, PhpCOIN that's your best option, or you can check http://www.solid-state.org both are free.
But yes you can not compare them to WHMAP, Clientexec or ModernBill.
Another good option is if you can shell out little one time amount check http://www.whoiscart.net
See people are here to help you so don't bash their replies, they just want to guide in the right direction.
So keep cool and respect others.
Cool Surfer 05-13-2007, 06:15 AM Thanks vinsar. Useful links.
I am not bashing anyone. Its just hate someone saying buy or else you are out of business, when they them selves use freewares like linux.
Servers4me 05-13-2007, 06:15 AM Free can mean poor support when you need it. ie, your biling system has crashed and you have angry customers.
Free can mean poor patches and fixes, and to only be fixed when the developer feels like fixing it.
Again I am not here to argue, I think your signiture is contradicting your comments to other users.
Servers4me 05-13-2007, 06:17 AM Operating Systems and Browsers are totaly different as they have funding sources from other big companies. ie, supplying mirrors and donations. Also companies like MySQL,PHP,CentOS, Firefox all have multiple people working on the project.
Free Software can be good, but in the view of billing software and experience I would recommend not to use it.
Cool Surfer 05-13-2007, 06:26 AM Thanks servers4me. I will look for a not very costly software then.
BTW: no offence :) Peace.
Mxhub 05-13-2007, 07:06 AM i think you can get a decent billing program for less than $15 a month.
dhcart 05-13-2007, 12:28 PM phpcoin and solidstate are free hosting billing softwares similar that you wish. If you don't want to use one of them when you must buy a professional software. Because there are not another alternative that similar to them. Also the professional softwares include more features and are more secure. If you want to make money when you must spend money.
Cool Surfer 05-13-2007, 01:17 PM WHM autopilot seems to be the best so far.
Woooo 05-13-2007, 02:40 PM You can easily write some custom and lightweight billing system, or modify solid-state, I recommend solid-state.
Plus, I also can recommend a cheap product called ... whats that called?? Yeah accountlab, its also pretty good. costs like US$ 25-30
Chamish 05-15-2007, 10:00 AM I recommend Solid-State too. It will handle your needs. But everyone have diffrent needs so. If you will think to pay some bucks for a software you should try your self and decide it.. I have clientexec, whmautopilot and whoiscart licences. But at that moment I am thinking to switching my software again. :)
Cool Surfer 05-18-2007, 02:59 PM Which of the above software will work better with cpanel/whm based server?
Vinayak_Sharma 05-18-2007, 03:12 PM With both PhpCOIN & solid-state, I think you need to do some extra configuration to automate account creation.

phpCOIN has a Cpanel module. You can download it from http://www.phpcoin.com/downloads/mod_whm_v134.rar
