A lot of sports people are reffered to by only their last name. I can see it now: the coach yelling "Hey Fu@ka, get over here!" and the apalled looks on the audience faces. :D

Oh my, I just thought of something much worse. For clarity, mothers in law are often called "mother" followed by the last name name of which child they are the mother of. Imagine what his wife may call his mother.
