Wanted to take a moment to publicly thank Scott Burns of http://bqbackup.com/ for offering a professional service.

There are many complaints on the forum about vendors who do sloppy work, and worse. I've made some of those complaints myself.

So, it seems only fair that when a vendor exceeds expectations we also return here to report that as well.

As most of you know, Scott offers a data backup service for web hosts. I've been happily using his service for months, but was not really doing backups the smart way. Using WHM and FTP and my host for backups was turning out to be both expensive and inadequate.

I tried to hire various people to help me upgrade, but they were too busy, gave bad advice, didn't return emails etc. You know, the usual drill.

I asked Scott for help, and within a few days he had completed everything, and now refuses to send me a bill for his time.

Should you need help with backups also, here's a place to start:

In case you're wondering, I have no relationship with Scott other than as happy customer.

I think scott is busy. Glad he place your work as priority and finish it in time.

Another vote for BQInternet and Scott. I'm a new client and their service was excellent and very fast.

Offtopic question, does BQInternet work on weekends?

Considering today is Saturday, I'd say so ;)

Official business hours are the same as any other company, but we're also generally available to some degree on weekends and after hours as well.

It is a space in a remote server. You can upload your files with Rsync or FTP, but Rsync should be used IMO. You also can have Samba access, and you can also create crons to upload your backup files daily.

Is there an internet link somewhere as to the step by step process to do this ?
