Greetings

A Video guy (real time film maker) created a gorgeous DVD video for a site I am developing.

Two problems

1. The sound track goes on too long after the end of video

He does not know computer editing stuff and has not been able to shorten it. I tried to just split off the sound track after the film end but it does not work in several different programs

2. I had to convert from DVD to Flash. I finagled this in the following manner...

I ripped the video from the DVD
converted to avi
uploaded to motionbox
used a program to download the flash version from motion box

I assume there is a more ...ahem..professional way to do this?

so I have the video on the website in flash

The sound track is still too long so both I and the video guy are begging for help:)

Any assistance and enlightenment on a way to fix the immediate issue and also do this right in the future much appreciated!

Thanks in Advance

The easy answer is to put the file in a video editing program like Adobe Premier. But that software isn't cheap.

If you have access to it, you can simply clip the audio track and the end of the video.

Sorry that's not a ton of help

Hi there

Does Premiere edit flash files?

(They do have a 30 day trial)

also could it have imported the video from vob straight to flash?

Thanks

Renee

Oh, sorry I was mistaken. I thought you had converted it TO flash. not that it was already that way.

You can try to import it. it might separate the vid from the audio but I don't know for sure.

Thanks

I translated it to avi then imported it into Premeire.

Solved the audio going on problem ( for anyone watching this thread..Just select your inported video--- then go to the menu and change the IN and OUT under the duration setting

It is easy to export it to a variety of forms and includes FLV through Adobe Media Encoder...BUT it exports only to flash audio so far. It is supposed to do Movies so I will read up on it

Thanks a million
