i emailed then a few times since i moved telling them to cancel my account but I never got a reply. i continued to email them over the next couple of months.

i havent been using their services since Feb and Im incensed that they havent replied AND took money out of my credit card!!!
I emailed them about 5 times since I found out what happened and still no reply. Where can i go to for help.
These people are crooks!! They should be shut down.

SoftWareRevue 07-13-2002, 12:56 PM I sent them an email a couple of weeks ago (a pre-sales type of thing) because someone here said they weren't responding to their emails.
I got no response as well.
Angel78 07-13-2002, 01:10 PM If you have a shotgun, find the owner and take your money back, or do a chargeback :)
matt_01 07-13-2002, 01:52 PM Man.. :-( NO respond at all !!
NO money back..and now iŽll get billed for the next 10 years ?

DarrenK 07-13-2002, 01:56 PM Get them closed down instead :emlaugh:
Find out if they have dedicated their own servers or if they are hosted then work your way around.

Angel78 07-13-2002, 02:39 PM well if they are in india than forget the shotgun advice ( plane ticket is expensive) and simply do a chargeback.
edude 07-13-2002, 03:34 PM Yes, they are also hosted with Burstnet (dedicated servers)..
Well thats what i last heard (when they were in business)..
JamRover 07-13-2002, 03:58 PM Hmmm..there has been an increase in Indian failure sites. No offense to any Indians, but I would advise most people from using a lot of Indian sites. We should compile a list of those legit sites.
edude 07-13-2002, 04:37 PM lol Jam ;)
I think you're going to get flamed for this one

Yeah.. I'd retract that statement before this thread gets filled with hundreds of angry Indians who run perfectly successful and legitimate businesses...
For every Indian company that fails I bet there are 10 American companies that fail.

Nope, I'm American. No Indian blood in me whatsoever.

That's weird... why did my post appear above edude's? I'm no telepath! :D
This one too! What's going on? Maybe the system clock got changed?

Probably true since the USA has 98 million more internet users then India. http://stylusinc.com/internet_potential_india.htm

edude 07-13-2002, 05:42 PM lol, great analysis slabhost but.. i think he means in every business aspect, not online internet related..
arlynne 07-14-2002, 09:34 AM ok so how do i do a charge back?? any ideas anyone??
arlynne 07-14-2002, 09:51 AM ATTENTION!!
I remember reading someone post (matt's i think) saying that he doesnt know how to stop them from billing him.
well i just found out..
if you can find the last email you recieved from paysystems.com with the amount that they deducted from your account, you should also find a link..
http://secure.paysystems.com/cardholder
click on the link and it asks you to enter credit card details & the amount billed. when you fill that in and click submit it should take you to a page that has your billing history. you should also see a link that says something like stop recurring billing..
Thats how you stop it.
I emailed paysystems asking for a refund, I'll let you guys know what happens.
Cheers & thanks for all your replies
Arlynne
SoftWareRevue 07-14-2002, 09:55 AM PaySystems most always does what the customer asks. ;)
If you still need to do a charge back; just contact your credit card company. They all seem to be a little different on how they do it. But, most do it pretty easy.
NexDog 07-14-2002, 10:30 AM Arlynne,
You are not guaranteed to get your cash back by asking Paysystems. Best thing is to contact your bank and demand a chargeback then Paysystems have to comply. It hurts HostTurbo too as they will get penalised.
You know where to get me if you need help in this matter. ;)
arlynne 07-14-2002, 08:44 PM Thanks guys!!!
xjeffx 02-28-2003, 12:31 PM Paysystems just charged me for a hosturbo account I had purchased right before they shut down last year! The worst part is my credit card was right under it's limit so my CC company charged me another $29 for going over! I called paysystems and they are taking it off. They were very nice about it, but didn't care when I tried telling them hosturbo has been out of business for quite some time and has been doing this to customers still. I expect it will continue with other users.
SoftWareRevue 02-28-2003, 12:36 PM That could have been on PaySystems though. Seems I heard from them that they were collecting some recurrings that were supposed to be captured last November.
Nice thread resurection though.
By the way . . . . . Anybody seen koolguru?
