My ISP block the port 10000 and I can not use default port on webmin. I can change to 8080. will i face the problem on my vps? I am a newbie. i am currently using shared hosting service for my 3 websites which i like to move to vps. please help me.

8080 is generally a port not frequently used by webservers.

However, they are used by open proxies and are sometimes port scanned.

You might want to try 8081 instead.

thank you tsj5j, any other port do you suggest? i am also thinking about using some windows default ports which linux system would not use.
