I went to bed at around 3:00AM, and was up at 6:45AM.

I woke up to check some downloads, and go to the bathroom. Something prompted me to check my e-mail.

I check it and I get an e-mail from a vendor, wondering where the review is. I had reviewd the case and he was wondering where the review was. Well I am just getting picutres.

And so now I am up 7:45AM F-ING sunday morning tired as a mofo. I am staying up until I get a response.

I am tired, cold, and....tired...

How is your Sunday Morning?

*funny*

mine was much the same actually. I sat waiting for a response to a few design jobs I'm doing. Did a little work on akashik.net, had some more coffee. waited....

eventually got some sleep around 10am and checked the mail again 4 hours later. Considering it's still summer here I was a little suprised it was cold as well...

Ahh life on the web... I wonder when I get to go snowboarding all day like TV tells me!

I went to bed about midnight and fell asleep hugging my wife while she watched Saturday Night Live. I woke this morning about 7:30, checked on my son (just got out of the hospital). He was already up and feeling great. Drank a glass of orange juice and went back to our really large bed room and its king size bed. Boy was the room cold, just the way we like. Got back in bed and snuggled up against my warm wife. I must have felt cold to her but she said nothing. I hugged her firmly until she whispered that she needed to pee. So I hugged her a little higher and drifted back to sleep. I got up later to the smell of a hot and tasty breakfast with fresh biscuits, ham, eggs, and Smucker's Jam. I now write this as my wife is in the other room playing a very soothing tune on the piano. When the music pauses I think I will go hug and kiss her.

Boy, life is sure good this morning.

Projo --> He was kidding :)

My morning was quite interesting actually. I got 2hrs of sleep last night. And then had a long 5km walk first thing in the morning. We had this huge International Navy Fleet Review. We had ships from all over the world come in and March, and show off :D. It was cool. Went on for like 5hrs, until the Jets came out and started doing stunts.. woooohoo.. those guys have the gutts :)

Then I was home and crashed. All in all, an interesting sunday.

Went to a party last night, came home a little "happy", checked the systems .. all running 100% .. went to bed about 12:00, slept for 8 Hours, got up in the morning, all systems still running, 1 help request already answered by one of the techs ... great weather outside

A perfect Sunday ... (Haven't seen one in months) :)

Sounds like a lot of good memories.

The way this group has gone ballistic lately I am trying to walk a grassy path. Hi.

I thought the smile was like when the doctor says (Not really, just an opportunity to tell a joke):

"Two things. First your test results came back and you only have one week to live. Second, they actually came back last week and I forgot to call."

cbaker17, your post was fine. I just wanted to make sure. I have not used or given a lot of attention to the faces but I now understand their value.

Some of my best times are setting here reading this forum and picturing myself as one of you guys during my retirement. And calling my wife over from her computer work across the room to set in my lap and read a post. She likes that getting married stuff.

Everyone have a good afternoon. Back to lurking.

Gary,

Glad to hear your son is ok.. I still remember last year sitting in an ER with my daughter at 4:30am waiting for a doctor to tell me what was wrong. Turns out it was nothing more than a slight ear infection, but it was my first time, so I was a wreck. :)

Fiber,

Your first one? Believe me it won't be your last *smile* They are a pretty addictive thing to collect. I have a whole bunch of them stored away for projects in the near future.

My favourite one so far is businessclik.com

I keep thinking of these domain names that sound really great. Then I buy one and think "How stupid could I be." It is kind of a domain name remorse.

For example: I was thinking of a really fun site for kids and registered kidbash.com. Ouch.

(And my son is much better. Lost 75% of his small intestines, 33% of the large.)

projo,

kidbash huh? I can see where you were coming from with that. It would have been really good if the alternative wasn't so ghastly. :)

wow.

that's some serious surgery there. It's amazing how well kids bounce back though. I was watching the Today show over here yesterday and they had a little boy racked with cancer (central nervous system etc). He was on morphine shots every 4 hours for the pain and is expected not to live another 6 months. Too look at him though you'd never guess it. Quiet but happy little kid.

hmmm. anyway... enough little grey clouds I suppose.

Ouch; that sucks. Why did he loose sooo much?

My son had adhesions really bad. The problems started about 12 years ago when he had his appendix out. He has had a couple operations since then just to cut the adhesions (but the body repairs itself by growing more tissue that again binds things together). The food's passage through his intestines is choked off by this growth. This last time they said a large part of the small intestines were a fiberous mass with too many adhesions to cut. He had two operations a week apart (From the Web: another person had 4 operations a week apart). Adhesions are very common after any internal surgery and yet the general public does not seem aware of this after-surgery condition. Some people grow adhesions more readily than others. Many women suffer this condition after a pelvic operation. Some people suffer after a hernia operation. Even the corrective surgery creates additional adhesions. The doctors just hope that the new ones are not in critical areas. Many people have constant pain when their intestines grow/attach to other organs and constrain them, e.g. bladder, liver, not sure what all. Some people with very little intestines left share their stories at a web site called noguts.com. My son's stay in the hospital is too sad to tell all at once but includes him holding my hand, screaming, and begging me to kill him. He is better now and I feel much better too. I lost 3 inches of belt holes during the 6 weeks but gained a much greater appreciation for the little things in life. His mother and I split the day, she was day shift and I night (I had to teach in the day time). At times out-of-town relatives gave as some relief. The hospital even let us stay with him in the ICU.

His eating/care will require a lot of attention but after the last 6 weeks we can handle anything.

This is already too long a telling.
