Say, Mr x has a domain, that you want, but, its expiers in 6 weeks, is there away you can get the buy the domain, before the guy is allowed to renew it? so the domain, becomes yours when it expires?

The reason why i ask, is people have offered me so much for my domain, which i do not want to sell, and they said fine, they will get it before it expiers. I dont think its possable, but want to check.

No, unless they hack or trick the registrar into it, which is unlikely. If in doubt, renew it now for several years and make sure it's locked to prevent unwanted transfers.

In the control panel for your domain at the registrar, there should be an option to lock the domain. Different registrars may call it something else (locking, securing...) so you might have to poke around a little to find it. Chances are it was set when you registered the name, but it's worth checking.
I'd suggest you're worrying over nothing, however. Someone saying they can take it before it expires sounds like they are either lying to scare you, or don't understand how the system works.

That is normally the case, but is always good to check. Do a whois on your domain and that will tell you with something like:

Status: Locked
Status: clientDeleteProhibited
Status: clientTransferProhibited
Status: clientUpdateProhibited

I'd keep those emails if you still have them. And make sure your accounts are secure as well, as bear suggested.
