I have a server at RackShack, with Ensim
it has some problems, like sendmail taking all the resources and some inestability.
My question is about Cobalt RAQ, to see if we move to this server.
1) I have heard that you cannot have on different domains same account, i.e. info@domain1.com and info@domain2.com. is that correct?
2) do they came with webmail?
3) Can Cobalt handle resellers?
for those who have had experience on both, would you recommend to switch from ensim to Cobalt, looking for more reliability and quiet sleeps during the night?
Thanks!

#1 - Not True. You can have info@ for every domain. You just can't have login names that are the same.
#2 - Not out of the box, but there are several FREE packages that will give you webmail for each domain.
#3 - Not out of the box, but there is an add-on package that is called "Resellers Control Panel" that will permit this
I always recommend Cobalt when you need stability of a server and want to be able to sleep at night.

Sorry Jeff, I have 3 Raq's and I am moving to Ensim.
doctorh, Sendmail can run non-stop on a Raq just like a Ensim box, esp. if you have a spammer on your box.
Need to get to th bottom why your sendmail is running non-stop.
I have 2 Ensim servers and so far they have been better than my Raq's.

my question is because manual reads
"raq 3 ... does not implement virtual email users... for the entire raq 3 each user must have a unique username even if the users are on different virtual sites "
i'm quite confused
Thanks

For the entire Cobalt Raq Server, each user account must be unique TRUE.
Each user on the Raq can have multiple e-mail alias's.
For Example.... You have 6 sites on your Raq as follows:
domain1.com domain2.com
domain3.com domain4.com
domain5.com domain6.com
Each site can have as many users as you specify, but on the entire server.....each account login name must be unique.
For Example.... You have 3 users each on domain1 & domain2
domain1.com's users are: Bill, Jeff, and doctorh
Their login names are Bill, Jeff, and doctorh
Bill's email address is bill@domain1.com
Jeff's email address is jeff@domain1.com
doctorh's email address is doctorh@domain1.com ** This user also has 3 alias names info, admin, & webmaster **
So...... doctorh's would receive email addressed to all of the following:
doctorh@domain1.com
info@domain1.com
admin@domain1.com
webmaster@domain1.com
domain2.com's users are: Billy, Jeffery, and doctorh1
Their login names are Billy, Jeffery, and doctorh1
Notice how the login names were different from domain1
Billy's email address is billy@domain2.com
Jeffery's email address is jeffery@domain2.com
doctorh1's email address is doctorh1@domain2.com ** This user also has 3 alias names info, admin, & webmaster **
So...... doctorh1's would receive email addressed to all of the following:
doctorh1@domain2.com
info@domain2.com
admin@domain2.com
webmaster@domain1.com
Jeffery could also have an Alias of jeff and would receive email addressed to jeff@domain2.com <<--- He just can't have the server login name of jeff since it's in use by a user of a domain on the same physical server.
I hope this doesn't confuse you even more.
