View Full Version : Client Information Management

Hi.

I was wondering how do you guys manage your client's information.

From information, I mean name, address, phone, email, plan, start date, billing period, billing amount, paid till, due and other related this and that ..................

I guess most of you use an online database while others might use their own custom database solution, oracle, mssql, access, excel, sql or any other cool product.

I am looking for something that will make it easy for me to update those info in my "diamond mako - EPOC" and perhaps in PDA's in future so that I can have the information right @ fingertips.

Please let me know what do you all use?

Perhaps there might be something that can be used both online and offline and the data exported to csv.. :)

Recommend the best please...

I have recently completed a custom solution i designed exactly for the purspose states above. It works very well, using PHP and SQL.

It also handles monthly billing notices with the click of a button.

Is that by chance something your going to sell??? I've been planning on doing something like that for my own needs, but I'm lazy and would rather buy the solution than spend a week making one myself :D

I will put together a demo and send you the address via PM soon.

Don't need anything to advanced :D

Just something to get user info and keep it for later use :)

If your script does what I'm thinking how I'm thinking, then wouldn't be hard to write a small script to take the information from our 3rd party merchant system into it....

Hi.

In EXACT words, this is what I am really after:

>> a client management soultion that takes the data from the web and keeps a copy itself too, so that we can analyze and have the info while being offline too.

As per analyze, something like view/sort/graph via

zip/ hosting plan/ country/ $$Monthly billing / blah~/ blah~

-- a pie chart would look nice :D

>> a system that will also allow me to export the data in csv or other format such that I am able to have the data in my EPOC and PDA's, so that I have up2date information of my clients at my stylus:D tip's. (hehehe! i don't use my finger but stylus !)

Trust ME, I tried almost 20 accounting softwares and almost all online applications and I found none that would satisfy the above need.

Chicken, please read the entire thread.

I did not start this thread, nor did I start my post with 'this is for sale'. I simple stated I recently completed a custom script which I use, and then I was asked for a price if I was willing to sell by a few people. I did not intend to sell this script on this thread, I am well awear of the forum rules and if it was designed to be sold I would have posted my own thread in the Related Offers and Requests forum.

I am sorry if this looks like advertisement to you, and I have not gave out a price to anyone. Feel free to delete my posts on this thread if you wish.

I read the thread and certain posts have been removed. If you'd like to discuss features, pricing, post demo links, please start a thread in the Related Offers & Request forum and it can be discussed there.

Please contact Barry via PM/EMail directly if you are interested in his script, as members are not permitted to sell things on the main forums.

You mean because Chicken deleted some posts?

Or, that you understand he was correct in doing so?

**Sorry to the thread starter for the off topic post.

Hi.

sorry everyone if I started this thread that got heated :D somehow.

anyway, on the topic and sticking within rules, please let me know what are you currently using ?

common.. at least, what are u using CURRENTLY, you all should be using something .. anything .. just give me an idea , and how close are you to your satisfaction with it .

I tried the following:

>> peachtree accounting 8.0
>> quick book
>> quicken
>> Asset inventory
>> Balance
>> daceasy accounting
>> essentail office
>> finance pro
>> instant accounting
>> managing your money
>> matlab
>> meta stocks professional
>> monthly bill manager
>> m.y.o.b
>> small business
>> spss
>> statica
>> stockt32
>> the money works

and the only ONE application that came close in showing some prediction on the profit/loss and account status was non other than micro$oft money 2001. it gives me the pie chart of the income/expenditure and predictions and some analysis.

if nothing comes up, then i guess the best would be to use money for finance and excel for pie charts of sales :(

hmm... thousands of web hosting companies out there, and no one with a decent client information management system?

duh?

Modernbill does have a nice feature in that you can enter a cost on each plan and see your gross margins. Would be easy enough to download and manipulate.
