View Full Version : How much is an "average" four-letter .com domain worth?

There is a four letter .com domain name that I am interested to purchase from someone.

The letters aren't too bad, and it's not a "bad" sounding domain name. (It sounds like the call letters of a radio station..)

Without giving away the domain name, can anyone tell me what is the average price for an "average" four-letter .com domain?

ie: It's not like "qgyz.com" or something odd like that. And it's not "abcd.com" or anything super great like that. It's just a decent sounding four-letter domain.

I'm thinking maybe $100? Is that about right? Is there somewhere I can see pricing for where other four-letter domains have been sold?

Thanks.

If you are talking "average" it probably includes at least 1 bad letter. So I'd say $10-$50. Those radio station call signs you'd think would be worth more but most of these stations aren't internet savvy at all and have no interest in owning their own domain. Things may change over time. If it's pronounceable, it might go for a bit more. However, prices appear to be going up quite fast. So get it now.

It's really difficult to give an opinion. It depends if there are someone that likes or is related to the acronym.

Good luck!
