Try this:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=php+webhosting&btnG=Google+Search
and look at 4-5 pages

Then

http://www.google.com/search?q=+site:hosting.urosys.com+php+webhosting&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&start=90&sa=N

Compare:
http://hosting.urosys.com/domainnameregister/top.webhosting.html
with cached version:
http://216.239.39.100/search?q=cache:N073GvKOK7sC:hosting.urosys.com/domainnameregister/top.webhosting.html++site:hosting.urosys.com+php+webhosting&hl=en&ie=UTF-8

Cloaked version can be seen on the cached version:

notice how the page's made to score higher on engine ratings: repeated keywords, higher keyword density, etc.

Pure keyword page on the cached version

NEVER CLOAK with google: cached version gives it away and your domain will be banned easily (then again, I don't see why Google would waste human resources on it, but ... cloaking's against most TOS's of search engines)

You won't notice anything this update or the next update but google usually does do something about cloaker's.

Just put in the tag in;

<META NAME="GOOGLEBOT" CONTENT="NOARCHIVE">

and you don't get the cached link.

But then you have to block babelfish and a couple of other engines, quite a bit of work, but if done well you should be able to do better in the search engine race and have a better looking site for your potential clients.

Who wants to see copy loaded with redundent keywords.

I thought I could cloak my site before googlebot came around but its alot of work and boring too.

no point in cloaking, it's against the majority of search engines policy's and your site will lose all pagerank and be banned when a competitor or google find out about it, simple as that. I've been told it's ALOT of hassle to try and get indexed again once you go this route.

Your best bet is to build unique content and gain link popularity for long suffecient good rankings within the major search engines.

This is talking from experience too.

Later.

What a mess!
No top webhosting cheap webhosting plans ? The host access - satisfaction free no banner web hosting sign application hosting , none virtual server hosting , the virtual may dedicated may servers those dedicated hosting clusters ? To frontpage hosting shopping frontpage web hosting you apache server these dedicated web server hosting domain register before web and host for shared server hosting the hosting your own web site? After dedicated cobalt server, pretty low cost webhosting the find the perfect web host at website distance hosting distance companies and best host web site hosting ? Positively web build design host it domain name renewals top webhosting.

I once went to a site that had a "Click to enter" page so loaded with ads that I couldn't find the link to enter! The page also had a big blank spot in it, and when I held the mouse down and dragged over it, I saw simular nonsense to the above.

Cloaking with Google is ill-advised. Cloaking will only give you a moderate boost with Google and would not have much chance at all to raise you to the top of the results for a competitive phrase. Cloaking obviously has no impact on the amount or quality of links to your site - which are key factors for Google.

On the downside - you have to use the nocache tag - which makes it easy for Google to spot potential cloakers. If you get caught cloaking the site will get banned from the results.

So, on balance - a lot of risk for minimal gain with Google.

Cloaking for other engines is a different story & may give some benefit.

I'm not really sure that there is cloaking going on, and not just a lot of redirection

If you go to hosting.urosys.com, you end up at hostinghound.com. The cache of that page is actually a subpage at carewebhosting.com, and is the same page as that cached as hostpile.com. And www.carewebhosting.com is "clean."

Both hostpile and hostinghound have a PageRank of zero.

Anyway, it's not really clear that it's cloaking in the normal sense (delivery of different pages bases on the IP or UA of the visitor) and not just an approach of redirecting everybody, but where a change has been made since the last Google crawl, leaving the cache out of synch with the actual page.

In any case, it's a bad idea.

I have seen pages that have a black background and black text. And then a nice splash image to enter. But if you highlight the text all you see is the same couple of words over and over.

Thanks
