View Full Version : Offline client management
Kulman 07-11-2002, 07:00 PM Do you guys know any OFFLINE software that keeps track of customer info, paid period, plan, etc.
No cc integration, invoices, etc. is needed.
Yes, I know excel does all that ;)

Yes Excel is a good choice. I made an Excel sheet and later an Access db. If you like I can send them to you :)

edude 07-12-2002, 09:18 PM QB accountant software is great, you take some courses on it aswell..
:agree:
I have a few friends who are pros on using this software.
Neo3Net 07-12-2002, 11:14 PM We use access and have not yet intergrated it with an online database however it does look great. It could work like:
Ex. An order is placed and your computer is updated to show the order.
We are using offline managing and it works great. We set it up so it has a welcome screen and you can click to see Orders, Accounts, and other options..
Thanks
hilda 07-13-2002, 04:35 AM I use Contact Browser (http://www.mooresoftware.com), here's a screenshot (http://www.mooresoftware.com/images/mainscn.gif).
It is a very easy to use PIM program with a great user interface and lots of nice features. In addition to the predefined fields, it has 20 custom fields for each record that I use to store billing info that makes it easy to cross-reference with Revecom, tech info such as server number, FP extensions, IP address, etc.
You can import and export data from delimited files with a very flexible wizard, has an excellent custom report feature, prints labels, has a very good search, you can have reminders associated with each record, and you can create multiple custom categories if you need to categorize your accounts.
I store the data on one of those keychain USB storage devices so I always have an updated verion of the database and then copy it on my laptop, home and office computers.
The best part is this software only costs $35! Highly recommended.
