Google Checkout will soon by processor of choice as soon as they begin reoccuring payments. Linkpoint is a great credit card processor.

Chronopay

Although we have no absolute no problems with Paypal and 2CO. Maybe because we screen all clients using Maxmind minFraud when the signup.

The answer really depends a lot on where you are located, what you are selling and what kind of volume you do. There are a lot of options on the market so it depends on those three factors quite a bit to determine which one will be the best for your business currently.

I would also advice Chronopay

Paypal and Chronopay are very popular. But why? What are their main advantages? People who use these processors usually are very glad, they dont have any problems. But may be there some other factors?

MoneyBookers is the best! I am currently having some problems with getting my account approved for instant credit card processing because they somehow don't trust Estonian online business register and I am having hard time finding papers to verify the existence of my company (because I have never had to verify the existence of my company, all Estonian institutions use online business register, so they never ask me stupid questions like does the company actually exist and where is it located), but other than that they have been perfect:agree:

AlertPay isn't bad either (you can transfer AlertPay to E-Gold and vice versa)

Like cdgcommerce said, it depends on a few factors, mostly where you are located. I checked out their site one time and really wished I was in the US.

We're in Canada and we use Internet Secure for our cc options, but most of our clients pay with Paypal.

It all depends on what you are looking for.
If you are located in the U.S. and want to have a direct merchant account, you will have plenty of alternatives through ISO's and MSP's, i.e. CDG Commerce.
However, for third party processing solutions, I would recommend 2CO or CCNow together with Paypal or Google CheckOut.

In Europe, there are different companies that can set up a direct merchant account, i.e. Pago, WireCard, SafeCharge, EuroConex. However, they normally require a larger volume. Resellers for direct merchant account are also available such as MultiCards, ChronoPay, PayLane.
MultiCards and ChronoPay also offer a third party processing solution.

For high risk credit card processing worldwide, I would recommend Lancore Merchant Services UK.

Just my two cents...

Yes it all depends on location.
If only paypal has a wire transfer option then that will become the number one cc processor for merchants in India

Anything but paypal or 2CO..

Could you explain further on why you're not choosing the above 2? The both of them are the most popular and commonly used payment processor used currently in the market.

fionix

As far as I know then Ikobo only works as a "online banking" system and not as a e-wallet like paypal or 3pp like 2co ?

Defenitely not Instabill. I have read too many horror stories about them.

I started a pharmaceutical website and now that it's taking off Instabill is making excuses not to pay me.

People complain that one of the issues w/ instabill is the long settlement time. And the hold back period before the first settlement.

Jason Field, owner of Instabill is a member of webhostingtalk under the name "Warlock". It would be better if he named himself "liar and cheat" because that is what INSTABILL is.

Instabill/ecs-world ripped me off and then had the nerve to deny they even know me. They had no problem taking my $495 set-up fee and keeping my first (and last 5 months of CC receits. My opinion of them is so low.....

Since there are more than 2 million users on PayPal, then I only hardly can believe that they should be such un secure as mentioned by many people.

cdgcommerce

PayPal is definitely a legitimate business. But yes, there can be fraud over PayPal or pretty much any other payment processing network unfortunately.

The best payment processing option for a given merchant will always vary according to where they are located, how much they are processing and the nature of their client base.

For some folks, PayPal is a secondary option or a non-option. For others, it is the main way they transact and they might not be able to get a direct bank-sponsored merchant account.

If only Australians were allowed to receive money through Google Checkout then I'd use it.
