Not really, for finances i like it, esp cause of the auto sync with some banks and credit cards ayksolutions 04-26-2007, 09:51 PM There are a few other choices but I forgot what they are. Do a search on here for Account Software bokoNET 04-26-2007, 11:26 PM does anyone know of a forum for help and tips? Could anyone in here help me setup a typical webhosting setup? Thanks jonwatson 04-27-2007, 12:07 AM Quickbooks online. Wow...I don't know why I've never heard of that before. I'm a Linux user and there's no good small business software out there for us (Please, nobody say GNUCash). Thanks :) thinkcomp 05-03-2007, 10:25 PM Hi, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_accounting_software ...and the program I wrote... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exponent_Enterprise Aaron jonwatson 05-03-2007, 10:29 PM You wrote it? Cool :) Anything Canadian and online out there? digitalperfectus 05-04-2007, 02:46 AM You can download Microsoft's new Accounting Express from: http://www.ideawins.com/ It does what the basic Quickbooks does for free. You might want to try it out as it costs nothing. You can upgrade to the Pro version but I haven't found a need to do so. If you don't like it, at least it didn't cost you anything. jonwatson 05-04-2007, 07:35 AM Excellent, thanks! bokoNET 05-05-2007, 05:03 PM Having a ton of problems with the thinkcomputers site.. the trial didn't work, can't find a link to sales, tried to signup for the whiteboard... the page wouldn't even load. thinkcomp 05-07-2007, 09:34 PM Hi, There's a toll-free telephone number on the top of every page, as well as our full contact information on the bottom of every page. There's also a Contact Us form you can fill out. I'm not sure why the trial of Whiteboard didn't work, but we did have someone sign up recently who put their e-mail address as being at gmial.com [sic]. Was that you? Feel free to send me a private message if you're still having trouble. Thanks, Aaron Jay Suds 05-08-2007, 12:42 AM Someone recently recommended http://www.freshbooks.com/. I'm not at all familiar with it, but I figured I would put it out there. Think it's viable to offer as a hosted application on a VPS? paul_getcpt 05-08-2007, 01:12 PM Using freshbooks.....the interface is nice and easy to use. The ability to see when a client has view their invoice is also really nice. They have a free package as well, something that you can try. I would say give it a shot and see what you think. jonwatson 05-08-2007, 01:16 PM This looks good. Think it's viable to offer as a hosted application on a VPS? I didn't get the impression that this was a hosted app at all. They look like downloadable apps to me. jonwatson 05-08-2007, 01:18 PM Using freshbooks.....the interface is nice and easy to use. It does look nice, but I don't see anything in the feature list that Client Exec doesn't already do. |
