Anyone can recommend a controlpanel that can setup backup solutions easily?

Plesk 8.1 handles backups really well, scheduling and dumping to an FTP repository are supported in the GUI.

cPanel/WHM also supports that functionality as well as support for local incremental backups through it's GUI.

cPanel/WHM essentially backs up all data on a server that isn't likely to be machine-specific.

Yep, both Plesk and cPanel offer good options. Not had as much experience with cPanel but I know it's a solid bit of software!
