When starting a company whats best to use for the registration? Is it best to keep all the domain info private or leave it available to see?
I have always wondered this and will be starting a website here pretty soon, so I would like to see if there are any pros or cons to private registration vs. public.

Every company I know has their registration info public. This is because there is no need to hide when your running a business and it can also help build trust with the customers that do check that information.

Most reputable businesses will have their info all public. When someone looks you up and it's private, you just might loose a customer. It just shows you have nothing to hide and instills confidence.

Thanks for the responses, it seems the public registration is the way to go. But when doing public, should you have your name or your companies name in its steed?

I would mention the company name. If the whois showed your name only, unless they know that you own the company, they will still wonder.

You could ask anyone of the Registerfly customers who choosed to use Private Info,
if they would do it again. I am sure that You will get a 100% NO.
Most of the people who had problems to renew/save their domain at RegFly choosed to use use a private whois.
