Established in July 2002, Xcellweb Internet Services (also known as UK ShoutCast (http://www.ukshoutcast.com)) was the first ever UK shoutcast streaming media server provider. We are in our 5th year of trading now and we provide rock solid streaming media services located in Amsterdam, NL.

We currently stream many large professional radio stations and have contracts with major providers across Europe and the Middle East (including the official 2006 Middle East radio station of the year). However all clients utilize the same network, so no matter how big or small you are, you too will recieve the same great uptime as some of the biggest radio stations in the world.

We are a stable company in our fifth year of trading. We are not a "fly by night" stream provider, offering everything for next to nothing and then going out of business in a few month after customers leaving due to bad service. We have not come this far by cutting corners and we do not intend to lose our grip on the high level of service we provide. This network is renowned for being highly reliable and has over 100Gbps (yes thats right 100Gbps) of current connectivity via multiple carriers and peering exchanges including AboveNet, TeliaSonera, Global Crossing and AMS-IX to name but a few. We are very proud of our uptime record, so proud in fact that we don't hide it, its available for anyone and everyone to see 24/7 and we are sure you will be impressed. In the last 12 months, 9 of them have had 100.00% uptime. In fact the network itself has possibly enjoyed 100% uptime, as the host machine being monitored getting rebooted or recieving hardware upgrades is usually the cause of any outages. Do you offer video live streaming services?

I need to stream videos. How much would it cost?

Apologies, thought this thread was dead by now lol.

To stream video's the best way is either via Windows Media or NSV (Nullsoft Streaming Video - virtually the same as Shoutcast). At present we have reached capacity on our Windows Media servers, although we still have plenty of capacity on out Linux servers, so NSV would be fine. We will probably bring another Windows server online within a month or so.

There is a 10% surcharge for NSV orders due to the fact they utilize more bandwidth and server resources in general then shoutcast.

With NSV, you will possibly want higher bitrates to stream at, this is no problem, we provide them we just dont advertise them as the majority of our customers use audio streaming only.

If you need a quote on higher bit rates, please contact sales at sales@xcellweb.net - the pricing for higher bit rates follows the same scale as the as the advertised pricing, so that will give you an idea of what pricing you are looking at, however with higher bitrates and larger orders we can sometimes offer discounted pricing.

I'm not such into the technical aspects of streaming. I am not even sure that I know what bitrate means.
