Depends on the country you are in. If you are in the United States, you have a number of options available to you for a merchant account and an electronic payment gateway.

Paypal can do that in a way. However the statement on their cards would show 'Paypal YOUR_MESSAGE'.

if you don't mind using paypal, good if you have low volume of transactions. i think premier and business accounts are allowed to create custom text on credit card statement i.e. PAYPAL *your message*.

i know that paypal can have my own message, however that message is fixed for all transactions, i needed a solution that allows me to have a unique statement for each transaction.

What is the nature of your business, kushnush? It seems like you are seeking to setup something like a payment aggregation account?

For most merchant SIC codes, the transaction data passed on the Visa & MasterCard authorization & settlement systems do not support custom messages like the ones you are describing.

the site just collects small membership fees from the members, but to reduce fraud and minimise risk, i was thinking of doing something like what paypal does, they put a 4 digit code on your credit card statement and have you verify them so that credit card is not a stolen card.

the reason why i have this requirement is because i have shopped and there is nothing about the payment processor the merchants are using(eg, 2CO) it looks something like ..

[COMPANY NAME] [DATE] [MY CARD NUMBER] [AMOUNT]

and its not big merchants, just some web hosting merchants too.

If you're in the US, go for CDGCommerce. That's currently what were using and could not be more satisfied.
