Hi,
Do any hosts provide Non-IRC chat hosting? I don't want IRC but a non IRC with a servlet or PHP on the server side will be fine. So, I guess that should not cause concern about being targeted for DoS and Bot attacks. I wont run bots either.

My total bandwidth requirements will be around 10 GB per month including the website, forums, chat and webmail, if I implement it. So bandwidth issues will not be a problem too. It's only a small site - with 500 users at most.

So, all I want to know is if hosts will allow hosting Non IRC chat, if it stays within the bandwidth and system resources limit.

Do any virtual hosts allow hosting a webmail system? I'll need an IMAP server for that.

Space: 150 MB (without the webmail system).

I prefer VDI based hosts. If you know of any such hosts, please posts here. Also, do you have any suggestions if I'll be able to host NFC-chat (servlet on the server side) on a virtual account?

Wing.

Wazeh,
Thanks. I just sent you a mail.

Any other hosts who can provide this? If you would like to mail me directly, click on "profiles" link just below my sig. And then email me from the profiles page. TIA.

Haakon,
Thanks for poiting out. I fixed it. And sorry for the trouble.
It was due to poor english of the vB creator.

Hide Email Address:
Clicking yes hides your email address in your public profile, so that it is not accessible by other users.

I had clicked yes. What does the above quote mean? "Hides your email address"?

It is confusing because it isn't worded right. The board can be set up to either present a form, or show a page with your email address. We have it set to show the form.

'Hiding your email address' would make more sense if it showed your email address in the first place, which like I said, we have it set not to.

Confused yet?
