But why not ask: how many potential webhosting customers are there in the web? answer = millions support=profit Angel78 07-11-2002, 05:53 AM companies? less then 100, one-man-shows? more than 1000 iamdave 07-11-2002, 06:00 AM Too many. ;) puggy106 07-11-2002, 06:38 AM Originally posted by Angel78 companies? less then 100, one-man-shows? more than 1000 I think this sums it up pretty well Aussie Bob 07-11-2002, 07:09 AM Originally posted by Angel78 companies? less then 100, one-man-shows? more than 1000 Where did you get those figures?? puggy106 07-11-2002, 07:18 AM I think thats probably just his guess Angel78 07-11-2002, 07:20 AM Originally posted by puggy106 I think thats probably just his guess yes :) puggy106 07-11-2002, 07:22 AM Personally I would say more ... but I dont have any figures either:(! michaeln 07-11-2002, 08:13 AM I would have to say it would be a MUCH higher number for one man shows. Angel78 07-11-2002, 08:14 AM hehe i sadi more than 1000 that includes all numbers between 1000 and aaarrgghhh there is no sign for unlimited ( like -90° on number 8) okihost 07-11-2002, 08:37 AM Just a stab in the dark.. MAybe 10-15,000 1-5 person deals maybe a couple hundred "companies" DrPix 07-11-2002, 03:12 PM Originally posted by Angel78 companies? less then 100, one-man-shows? more than 1000 It sounds like one-man-show is necessarily worse than "companies" (sorry if I'm wrong). I had experience with many hostings, and now I have several sites - each one on different hosting, and I would say that a score between one-man-show and companies is 50:50.:) Angel78 07-11-2002, 03:23 PM one man show, goes to sleep, your server is all.... "alone in the dark©" :) dont even think about what happens if he decides to take a 2-week long vacation heheh :) and i personally think that most of the hosts @ WHT are less than 5 ppl, but some of them are doing very well so i guess at least 3 tech's are needed to provide some sort of 24/7 ( no way they can provide this but lets say 14h per day= its ok for 9$ per month i guess) DrPix 07-11-2002, 03:32 PM When I say "one-man-show" I mean at least 3 people.:) RackFive 07-11-2002, 04:23 PM Originally posted by Angel78 what happens if he decides to take a 2-week long vacation heheh :) i usally take 4 weeks long vacations :D :D :D Phoenix 07-11-2002, 05:18 PM Originally posted by DrPix Do you have any idea of how many hosting companies are there in the Web? 12.5 Grillion DrPix 07-11-2002, 05:27 PM Originally posted by Phoenix 12.5 Grillion I think you are exaggerating.:) RackFive 07-11-2002, 06:04 PM no, hes too serius FiberOptic 07-11-2002, 09:24 PM I've One-man webhost company...
