I've been with Nocster since their first day of opening and I must say that there have been some bumps along the way (well, who doesn't?). There were a couple of outages and whatnot - but every time there was, people were quick to address the issues and the problems were solved within acceptable timeframes.

Then there was a big problem that effected my server - I could not create a second domain on my box whenever I assigned an IP to it... so after some problems with that I sent an e-mail to support.

Support could not figure out what was wrong and I must say that I was not too happy about that. But once the problem was discovered - which was some sort of IP conflict (I'm no hosting / unix guru) they fixed it in a jiffy - and to make it even better - I knew that Matt took over the support once he realized it took longer than normal to complete - and further, he compensated for their delay by providing me with a whole wad of additional IPs AND a follow-up e-mail.

I just want to say that I'm a VERY HAPPY customer of Nocster, and the guys on Technical Support have been great with me - especially Keith (who shares the same name with me =) who's helped me on numerous occasions.

So I just wanted to say THANKS to Matt, Jason, and Keith for their great work and support.

That's great to hear. :)

I was beginning to think I was the only one around here truely impressed with Nocster's commitment to customer care.

I think they have all the tools, knowledge, and personell to effectively satisfy any support request. And, as you say, who doesn't have a blip evey once in a while?

So, let me say THANKS too, to everyone involved in Nocster for their attention to our needs.

Thanks for that feedback as I am still considering them. Do you know if they offer guaranteed backups?

If you want tape backups; the option is there.
Or, are you asking if they have an sla regarding the taped backups? In which case, you may need to shoot them an email. ;)

chrisb: Are you talking about for a dedicated server? If so you are responsible for your own backup. I ordered a second hard drive just to do this.

If you are talking about their shared hosting then I don't know.

I was talking about shared, as in their reseller plans. I thought it would be the same policy as dedicated.

Now, I posted at 8:00, the exact same time as SWR. How does yours get ahead of mine? Must be your clout here.

LOL . . . . This board has been kinda funky lately.
I know of one thread where the first poster's post (after the thread starter's) is dropped down every time *any* one replies. :eek:

Back on topic . . . . . . . I don't know a lot about their shared plans.

Thanks for the info in your other post. I'll send them an email and ask.

Oh, and I really like Matt. He was very nice, and good at listening and answering my questions over the phone a couple of months ago.

I am glad to hear their commitment to customer care.

I put in a request for a special server quote yesterday after speaking with Matt on the phone. But, he hasn't gotten back to me yet :(

Hmm...

How long did it take to get your servers set up? Coz its taking longer than expected in my case.

I know someone also with a Nocster server and they are very happy with them.
