A guy named Ryan who claimed to be the same guy who runs extrope.com and posts on this forum under the username Xpandhost ripped me off to the tune of 100 dollars.

He failed to deliver an account as agreed upon after I sent him a hundred bucks for a year of hosting.

He ignored my messages and stalled. Unfortunately I tried to dispute the payment with Paypal and it had been just a couple days past the 30 day limit!

That's what I get for trying to give the guy time to make good on his promise.

Do yourselve a favor and do not do business with mainserver.us or the user Xpandhost. I'm sure by now he has abandoned his username as I see he hasn't logged on since June 30. Beware folks, not everyone on this forum can be trusted.

I don't know. It might not have started out as a rip off. I think he may have had a reseller account of some kind and didn't realise that he couldn't actually give me the features I wanted until I'd already paid. At that point he didn't want to pay - or didn't have the money to refund my money so he blew me off.

You haven't been able to contact him at all? Have you tried doing a whois on his domain and calling the number listed there?

Call me stupid, but he never gave me an email address, I only dealt with him here on WHT via private messages. My error, a mistake I will not make again.
I did a whois and there is no phone number, but there is an admin email address. I wrote to that, but got no response. There is a postal address in Lafayette, I suppose I should send them a letter the old fasioned way.

I guess send him snail maile to his house. Or do a reverse lookup and get his phone number and call on him. Its possible that hes also just a kid so if you cann and get ahold of a parent tell them and they will probly o in and beat the crap out of t he little scammer.
