Hi,
A domain name (ganna.org) registered from a reseller (securityway.net) under (eNom.com).

The owner of this domain (omrart[@]hotmail.com) who has the domain registered with his complete information (Name, email, address, phone) want to know the auth-code of this domain, it is expiring next month and he can't renew/transferee it because (securityway.net) is out of business, they never reply to an email or a phone since 3 months, and their domain control panel doesn't allow domain owner to know the auth-code.

How can he knows the auth-code of his domain?

n.b. contacting eNom was useless, since they seem they don't care about end users.

Hi,

Your reseller or eNom directly should have a procedure to have the administrative contact (the e-mail address at least) changed. Usually if the domain REGISTRANT requests a change of administrative contact, the registrar should do it - or provide a way to do it.

The best solution would be to call eNom and explain the situation to them. This is not an uncommon problem.

I don't want any change in any information AT ALL... I just want the domain auth-code to be sent to the DOMAIN OWNER email!

Why eNom is refusing doing so! really I don't know.

eNom Reseller (www.securityway.net) is now FOR SALE and its website is parket by SEDO.

Domain Name Business with such a companies needs a view by ICANN... eNom is a BCC for RegisterFly

Maybe the domain owner should call them instead of you.

Maybe the domain owner should call them instead of you.
The domain name owner came to me after 2 months of looping between eNom and SercurityWay, If I reach a way or find a solution he will do the needed steps.

Plus, it is not a matter of who is contacting, it is a matter of policy, eNom doesn't care about end-users, it ONLY cares about its resellers, if a reseller is out of business, so (....) the end user, although the real one who PAYS is the end-user and not the reseller, he pays to get his business lost.

That's an interesting accusation. I've never had a problem contacting enom.

Why don't you become a reseller yourself and then you can test your theory?

BTW - to directly answer your question, we regularily contact eNom to "fix" the exact situation you are describing. It is very common for customers to arrive at our doorstep without their EPP code, and their current reseller is not able to be contacted.

eNom has very clear policy in place for this situation. You should contact *your* parent reseller for assistance if you need it.

Good luck.

Also, repeating your mantro that enom has no "end-user" support or service is not going to help anyone.

It's simply a matter of calling eNom. Identifying yourself as the owner and requesting the auth codes and the unlocking of the domain. I just don't get all this "eNom has no end-user support" crap.

here is eNom reply:
Since your domain was acquired through one of our resellers, you will need to contact them directly for assistance with your domain name, login or DNS assistance. We do not have access to this data. Their contact information can be listed above for your convenience after you submit your domain name.

so, as an "end-user", who will give me support after my reseller is out of business!

Contact eNom again, and tell them that you have tried already to contact the reseller listed for your domain name, but the reseller has NOT responded to email or phone contact for x days.

Then ask them to escalate the problem to the parent reseller of your reseller.

Do as mrzippy (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/member.php?u=16650) says. Your issue will be resolved.
I too have dealt with this same problem many times. Enom has always been great! At times I have had to modify some information to get the job done.

If you value the domain I suggest you do what's necessary to keep it, not what's convenient. *Note: securityway.com is at fault here, not Enom. To think otherwise is blatant ignorance.

If I was an end-user client with Reseller Club, I can easily login into my end-user control panel anytime and get any information I want (since I am the owner of the domain).

Can I login to my end-user control panel through eNom? If Not, so this is a week-point at eNom, not a week point for resellers, but for the poor end-users.

I too have dealt with this same problem many times. Enom has always been great! What are the steps you followed, I am emailing elida[.]flores[@]enom[.]com with no success, is there any direct mail or contact form?

I thought the point was you couldn't login. If you couldn't login to your Reseller Club account because the up-seller had gone kaput, you'd be in the same boat.

I received a promising email from eNom, asking for verifying domain ownership, hope it will work well.

At eNom it's up to the reseller whether or not they provide a control panel with auth. code and lock or not.

Using the API, or eNom's other reselling tools, the reseller has the option to provide as little or as much information to the end user as they want.

Writing to eNom support will surely help. After you explain your issue they'll send a confirmation email to the email listed in contact of the domain, which you need to reply. After you confirm they'll move the domain to the eNom account ID you specify.

So, if you have your email id in whois contact, be assured you are safe!

I just have to jump in here. I wonder why you all are happy with Enom? They are on the bottom of my list. Perhaps it is because I am not an affiliate/reseller. One of my main complaints is just the simple fact that they don't have an 800 number for tech support. I have found enom to be very uncoorperative also when trying to move domain names away. I have 40-50 names with ipower and I am very happy there. Great support-a single tech contact that is familiar with my account, many more features that I could need, easy to use control panel and great pricing. I can't wait until I get the last two domains away from enom.

I guess you are trying to transfer out because of their $30 pricing on personal accounts. You could also have had a retail or reseller sub-account with many ETP's with $8.95 pricing. eNom are not really a retail registrar, but they will take your money.

As for ipower, they have generally a bad rep on WHT.

You are correct. The $30 seemed outragous when I pay $7 at ipower. I must have been one of the lucky ones. I got nothing but great service and support at ipower. I had one tech rep that recognized my voice when I called and could always fix any issues I had. He is being smart, tomorrow is his last day. I wished him well at his new job, but I am apphrensive about what will come with the merger.
