I just recently signed up with tera-byte.com (a week ago) on a package. My package doesn't include MySQL, but now i think i need it. is it possible to tell them to upgrade my account since other web host offer the same at the same price? and how would i go about and politely ask them?

Well, their plan number 4, which costs $9.25 does include MySQL. I am sure you can get upgraded to this by paying the difference. If you mean that you want MySQL for free on your cheaper account, don't count on it. The packages they have are very reasonably priced, and they don't (normally) change anything in any package for individual users!

I assume you have plan 3 because the lower plans don't even have cgi or perl. The cost difference to upgrade is about $7.00 extra for 6 months or $14 for a year. You must have paid at least 6 months already as thats the only way to get the plans 1-3. Another thing you get with plan 4 is a dedicated IP number which could be useful. I would bite the bullet and pay the difference to upgrade.

You might try asking for the free upgrade first maybe you could offer to put their logo on your site. Come to think of it I have their logo on my site. Hmm I should ask for something.

Just email there support asking :) There is no particular way you should go about doing this.
