Hi group,
I want to start a few banner exchange programs on some of my virtual sites, and have been looking at PHPBannerEX (http://www.hotscripts.com/search/?query=banner&category=PHP).
Does anyone know if this is any good, or if there is a better one available? Maybe even a free one?
Is running a banner exchange on a RaQ3 feasible?

excessive banner exchange programs runnning can be a load problem.

We ran a busy perl based banner exchange on a RaQ2 with 100 other sites without any problems.

Maybe the load problem depends on the script. Perhaps I should look at cgi instead of php then.
Do you mind me asking which perl script you used for this?

We used http://www.gadnet.com/bplus/ . They have a version wirtten in C that works well. I would stay away from perl, it has a very large 'foot print'.

Yes, runnning a banner exchange on a RaQ3 is feasible. I would recommend that you make sure the server has the maximum amount of Ram. 512mb.

I'm running phpAdsnew on my raq4 with no problems showing about 5000 banners a day (not many, but it might be a useful figure for you)
