For at least the 3rd or 4th time since I started using MCHost, there's a problem with the CPanel License being expired. MCHost says it's because the CPanel guys deleted the wrong IPs from their Database.

I've tried doing a search on the forums about this, but can't really find anything. How common is this problem?

About as common as the distributor cutting off people that don't pay, perhaps?

I suppose even Darkorb makes mistakes though, but they are very easy to contact. If your license provider is in good standing with them, they will get it resolved within minutes.

They should try to run /usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt.

/usr/local/cpanel/cpkeyclt doesn't always cut it.

We're having the same problem right now, in fact. And we paid our bills. So did our provider. I don't know how common it is, but it sure as heckfire is annoying. :(

Timmy- you are truly the lordly admin of Cpanel licensing.

Lightning- make sure you get in touch with Darkorb's support via http://www.cpanel.net , if there is a technical problem not related to billing that will get things ironed out the fastest.

(they have a support ticket system there)

If I do talk to Nick later I will point him to this thread as it appears there might be a bigger issue here....

Thanks a lot! :) I haven't opened a ticket with them myself, but my provider did and they've called them as well. I figured my provider would get better mileage out of the ticket than I would and I didn't want to confuse the issue with 2 tickets.

<update> I did post a ticket with cpanel, just for good measure, now. Though there doesn't seem to be any answer as of yet </update>

Just for the record...

I am now jumping for joy and yelling out my window to anyone who will listen! They fixed my cpanel license!! w00t!!!!
