Do you have any cheaper dual xeons/opterons without cpanel?

If you don't want cpanel you can just take $19 per month off of the monthly cost. Do you use any control panel at all?

What are the prices for VPS cpanel licenses? I am just looking for more powerful dedicated servers in different datacenters for VPS's

Cpanel for VPS is $9 per license per month and that is for unlimited domains.

Do you offer ddos protection on these servers? Is IRC allowed? Do you offer fantastico for VPS? Is bandwidth in+out or just out? Is there any chance ddos bandwidth might be counted as bandwidth used?

Hi,
We do have a basic level of ddos protection but that in no way guarantees that you will not get ddosed. It is effective for certain types of attacks but not all. We also have a bandwidth monitoring program that sets an alarm off in our noc when there are bandwidth spikes that are out of the ordinary. Our techs then take a look at it to see what is going on and eith temporarily limit the port or if they can see what is causing the problems(on outgoing ddos attacks) they will attempt to remove the malicious activity. If you have a ddos attack it will be counted in your bandwidth total for the month although that is the case with probably every data center. We offer a lot of bandwidth though so most people have a pretty big cushion to burst into and not get charged extra. Our bandwidth collection counts incoming and outgoing combined.

We do not allow IRC on our network.

Actually usually DC's just subtract bandwidth they know is abnormal (exceeding download rates). I understand that I'm responsible for outgoing ddos traffic, but not incoming, since it is completely out of my hands.

Please let me know if incoming ddos traffic is counted or not.

incoming bandwidth is counted along with outgoing bandwidth. i would be surprised if a data center actually subtracted "abnormal" spikes and the reason for that is that the backbone providers are not only going to charge the data center for every bit of bandwidth whether it comes in our goes out but they are going to charge a premium rate for spikes which raises costs significantly.

The flip side is that since we are charged so much for big spikes that are generated by ddos attacks, it is in our best interest to to stop as much as we can. This is why we have bandwidth spike alarms that go off in our NOC so that our technicians can stop spikes as fast as possible.

If you are so afraid of getting DDoSed, you might want to consider using a host that is specialized in DDoS filtering. Normal websites don't get DDoSed at all. You asking this makes me believe that you are a target for DDoSes, and in that case this doesnt seem to be the right network for you.

That is a typo. It should read:

10Mbps unmetered would be $400 per month
1000Mbps unmetereed would be $3200 per month

Both would not have setup costs.
