View Full Version : Windows Control Panel...check it out
E-Insites 07-10-2002, 08:13 PM Hey,
Cyber World just released its new Windows 2000 Server Control Panel/Support site for its customers. We would like some input on the panel to see what functions other people would like to have on a windows control panel. We want to know what people think of it.
Check it out at https://www.cwiservices.net/ Log in with the demo account, and let us know what you think of it. There is no current reseller demo.
Thanks
isildur 07-10-2002, 08:24 PM Cool, congratulations.
We may be interested over time- we do some pretty extensive win2k hosting here. First impression: graphics took too long to load, gaudy top frame graphic has to go.
Every single page seems to have a different set of graphics, takes a century to load on a DS3 at the office here. Seems like some of the more advanced options are disabled in the demo account.... hrmmm
I'd say cosmetically it has a ways to go?
Looks like it has a ton of good options available though, hopefully they work well in the full blown version. :)
E-Insites 07-10-2002, 08:37 PM Thanks for the input.
The header should have only loaded once and should have been cached after that. We do know the initial log in takes a while, but everything else should have been fast. We will test it from other locations.
Yeah the features work and that is why we had to disable most of them for the demo account, because some people may misuse them. We may just recreate the site eslewhere and have it fully functional.
Thanks
The Prohacker 07-10-2002, 08:50 PM From the rules:

E-Insites 07-10-2002, 08:52 PM OOPS! :( Sorry about that I will edit it.
Thanks
The Prohacker 07-10-2002, 08:54 PM You don't need to edit, just PM the mods to have this moved to the related offers forum....
Is this a free control panel?
E-Insites 07-10-2002, 09:27 PM Well, I guess we are not supposed to discuss things like that in this forum, but no its not free.
It took quite some time to develop, and so it will not be free.
Thanks
DarrenK 07-10-2002, 09:34 PM WoW!
Thats amazing. Your got some interesting developing work there and I dare say that will help your site out to get customers aswell! Brilliant Work! ;)
How much would you be resleasing it for if you come to do so? I'm just curious because I'm sure it would sell super-well.
E-Insites 07-10-2002, 09:47 PM Well we have to work on making it customizeable for other hosts first, and let our customers find all the bugs, so we do not pass on buggy software, then we will be setting pricing and so on after that.
CWIMike 07-10-2002, 09:52 PM I'm one of the developers of the support site, and I wanted to thank you for the positive comments regarding our new site!
Of course, we've already got things to update on it, so we'll be doing at least the following...
* We'll be optimizing more of the images, especially the big top image! :)
* We'll be expanding the test account so you can see all the functions available to a site.
* We'll be creating a demo of the reseller account.
And More! :)
Thanks a lot,
Mike
WII-Aaron 07-10-2002, 10:11 PM I think it looks good. It does take a while to load and I think it's a little to high-res graphic intense. Some cleanup needs to be done. Other than that it has a good look and feel to it.
Question: What's the cost? I've been looking for a decent control panel from my win machines for awhile.
E-Insites 07-10-2002, 10:19 PM We will obviously work on the grapihs, and like we said before, we will be testing it, and making it customizeable for other hosts before pricing it.
ADMIN We requested to have this moved because it is in the wrong place, since it is promoting our product pretty much now, so please do not get too mad at us :) I sent a PM to chicken to have it moved.
Also I will wait until the post is moved to answer any questions. This is to avoid any trouble.
Thanks
TimPD 07-10-2002, 10:21 PM Since when did we have a mod named "ckicken" LOL.
E-Insites 07-10-2002, 10:23 PM Ok, so i made a typo...That is supposed to be CHICKEN
My bad! :)
TimPD 07-10-2002, 10:24 PM Ever heard of editing it ;).
NodeHost 07-12-2002, 04:49 PM Well....
How much for the control panel????
E-Insites 07-13-2002, 03:30 AM Once we are done with the testing and customization programming, we will post the price. Anyone who is interested in pricing email alvins@cyberworldhost.com.
I will keep your email address on file and email you the pricing and a list of all features as soon as it is ready.
