View Full Version : 10-15 dollar reseller hosting?
qualityinterfaces 04-18-2007, 05:34 PM I am looking for reseller hosting in the 10-15 dollar price range.
I am looking for..
Atleast 200gb of bandwidth
atleast 5gb of disk space
cpanel with fantastico
are there any reliable hosts that offer this? most hosts that offer something like this are unreliable.
CyberHostPro 04-18-2007, 05:43 PM Hi
this budget maybe do-able, although personally i would look for a slightly higher budget, the better the budget, the likely chance of a better service. I recommend visiting the Reseller Hosting offers forum.
qualityinterfaces 04-18-2007, 05:52 PM yea i wish i could spend a little more, my main issue right now is that i have a lot of good ideas for sites that can generate some income off of ads but i am a little strapped for cash right now, plus i can get a vps for 20 dollars a month so anything over 15 for a reseller feels somewhat expensive. I will take a look in the reseller hosting offers forum.
thanks,
John

You can get a low-end unmanaged and probably unreliable VPS for $20 a month.
$15 is not enough..
200GB bandwidth? What is your actual usage?
If you cannot afford more than $15, then drop your specs... Otherwise it won't be too long before you're looking for another host.. :)
qualityinterfaces 04-18-2007, 06:19 PM i guess i could drop my bandwidth to 100gb a month otherwise what's the best reseller in your opinion for 20 a month with a month by month commitment?
RSNET-John 04-18-2007, 06:38 PM Are you actually planning to resell? If not then why not just save some money and go with a true multi-domain account (pretty much any other control panel than cPanel offers this)?
Be sure to read reviews on any host you choose. WHT has plenty of useful information.
qualityinterfaces 04-18-2007, 06:48 PM i mostlikely won't resell but it would be nice to have the option.
justwandr 04-18-2007, 11:00 PM If you already know that hosts that offer these huge plans are not reliable why ask for one? I can't imagine any reliable host offering anything remotely close to it.

the budget 3 plan is probably the best you can get with that money..
Reseller Mike 04-19-2007, 01:00 AM Well he drop his b/w down to 100GB for $15.00/month is do-able.
Check out Reseller Zoom i have a account with them and i like it.
Or check out the offers fourms and see what you can get. Make sure to do a search on WHT before buying!
Good Luck with your search.
www2000 04-19-2007, 12:07 PM You telling me you have to have a special web thing called Reseller hosting to be able to resell stuff? It's no wonder people pay other people to set them up with a page! You have to be a lawyer to figure this stuf out!
TonyB 04-19-2007, 12:29 PM I think $15/month is is feasible with 100GB of bandwidth. Your best bet is to make sure of the Reseller Hosting Offers (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=130) which can help you reduce the cost reseller hosting significantly.
ldcdc 04-19-2007, 12:45 PM my main issue right now is that i have a lot of good ideas for sites that can generate some income off of ads but i am a little strapped for cash right now, Then start with 1 of your ideas, let the cash flow a bit, and then expand.
plus i can get a vps for 20 dollars a month so anything over 15 for a reseller feels somewhat expensive. That kind of VPS is probably going to be fit only for very small websites.
You telling me you have to have a special web thing called Reseller hosting to be able to resell stuff? It's no wonder people pay other people to set them up with a page! You have to be a lawyer to figure this stuf out! There's nothing complicated about it really. Some say that this is the very the reason why the hosting industry is so overcrowded with sub par providers -- almost anyone can start to host other people, and that for a low fee.
most hosts that offer something like this are unreliable.Well, given the cost of good servers, good bandwidth, well trained staff, advertising, etc. and considering that the host must make a profit too if it wants to grow, it's not that much of a surprise that few, if any, can make it happen at those pricing levels, even more so in the long term.
dhcart 04-20-2007, 04:39 PM if you can pay $20 (or more) per month when I recommend Hostdime. We glad from their services. Good luck.
qualityinterfaces 04-20-2007, 07:33 PM thanks for all your input guys i ended up getting my friend to chip in with me on a small vps for now, I ended up going with amerihosting, I will see how it works out. I am going to do what ldcdc said and start going some cash and then see what happens from there.
Thanks,
John
ldcdc 04-20-2007, 10:17 PM I ended up going with amerihostingGood luck with your new provider! Keep us updated on your experience with them! :)
