I know CPanel has webalizer but I wanted to know if there is anything else I can use to monitor vistors to a site. I not on dedicated or anything so I can't put software on the server....

I've used AXS Tracking System (http://www.xav.com/scripts/axs/) on many sites and its very good with detailed, accurate stats (CGI support needed though).
