View Full Version : Billing/Support Software for UK Host with cPanel/WHM, HELM and ProTX support
wheelerc 04-17-2007, 12:24 PM Hi,
I'm looking for billing/support software for the following setup:
Multiple Linux Servers with cPanel/WHM
Multiple Windows Servers with HELM
Payments processed via ProTX &or PayPal
Automated setup of shared hosting and reseller accounts, and be able to take orders for dedicated servers, which can then be setup manually.
Recurring Billing on monthly/quarterly/annual/bi-annual basis
Emailed PDF invoices would be preferable
The billing/support packages can be seperate (i like the look of kayako for support) but it would be nice if I could find something which does both billing and support.
It must be customisable into an existing site design, and php based. It will be running on a linux server.
Am I asking too much, or is there some software out there which will do all of the above?
KNL-BSW 04-17-2007, 12:32 PM You aren't asking to much, have you looked at ModernBill?
ModernBill version 5 supports:
cPanel/WHM - as many servers as you want to add
Helm - As many servers as you want to add
ProTX and Paypal - Both are supported
Automated Setup fully supported
Ordering for non-control panel products supported (although there are questions on sending welcome emails from ModernBill for non-control panel orders at the moment).
PDF Invoices - They are working on that.
All billing methods support for time cycles.
I would recommend Kayako as I've found it's the best.
And Both ModernBill and Kayako are fully customizable using Smarty Templates.
Oh, and it also supports multiple currency's include GBP and it supports VAT.
wheelerc 04-17-2007, 12:40 PM I did have a quick look at modernbill, and its seems to have some nice features - but i was a little dissapointed by the look and feel of the demo.
The admin side isn't an issue as the customers will never see it, but the client side seems very basic. However i have a failry good knowledge of php/smarty, so if it's easy to customise that might be the answer :)
Thanks for the comments

That is what one company did with the inside of there ModernBill interface.
I've been through the theme and template pages and I know a lot more could be done if someone wanted to take the time.
gster 04-17-2007, 12:55 PM Get WHMCS, don't even try MB - not worth it imho.
wheelerc 04-17-2007, 01:11 PM Does WHMCS suport HELM?
intramanga 04-17-2007, 01:39 PM Get WHMCS..
I wouldn't , never got such bad support as with them. Besides that , there's something wrong with that company.

That is your opinion. We use ModernBill and are very happy with it along with some of our clients that we have setup on it that are very happy with it.
You should have also ready the thread since he asked for features "NOT OFFERED" by WHMCS.
Does WHMCS suport HELM?
No. Quote direct from there website "No, we do not have any plans for Helm support."

Care to expand on that?
intramanga 04-18-2007, 05:15 AM Yes , if you're really interested to know I will start a new topic on this issue shortly , preventing that somebody says I am hijacking this one.
Ed,

I started a new topic here in this forum on this under "WHMCompletesolution, is this a legal company ??" , not sure if this is the right forum , but if it isn't , please feel free to move to where it belongs.
Ed,
Cheeky 04-22-2007, 03:38 PM I would also recommend modernbill for your situation. The whole template system is pretty configurable, and it shouldnt be too hard if you already have experience of editing such files.
mrzippy 04-23-2007, 04:08 AM www.awbs.com does everything you have specified. (Oh wait, they can't yet email the pdf invoice -- customer can only view it online.)
