Hi there,

... are you able to access the Control Panel using any version of Opera? I was able to access and use it a couple of days ago using Opera 6.04 but can no longer do so and am wondering if anyone is not able to either?

According to Jimmy and Dave at fluidhosting no changes have been made to the underlying source of the Control Panel. My Opera has Javascript turned on and is set to accept all cookies but this has not helped. I am totally stumped as to why I could access it and use it a couple of days ago but not now.

If anyone using Opera (any version) and having an account at fluidhosting could try to access their control panel at and let me know if they can successfully use it I would very much appreciate it. My experience has been that Opera 5.12 was not able to access AND use it but that Opera 6.0 and 6.04 were (especially 6.04).

Thanks.

Carlos

P.S. By the way fluidhosting.com seems like a GREAT hosting company to be with. I have been very impressed with their features and level of support. Not to mention the consistently high speed of their server connection.

I have an account at Fluidhosting and I just downloaded and installed Opera 6.04. I had NO problems getting to my control panel and using it. I normally use IE 6.0 on a Windows 2000 Prof desktop. You can't go wrong with Fluidhosting, Great people to work with. If you need additional testing from my end using Opera, just let me know and I will be more than happy to help you.

Thanks a bunch for letting me know. I will have to pursue it from my end. I must have set some switch in Opera somewhere that is not letting me access and use the fluid hosting control panel.

I can always reinstall Opera 6.04 if nothing else works. I'll post anything definite I find as to what caused it to stop working for me.

I was able to get Opera 6.04 working again. Yippee!

After setting every relevant option I could think on and off and then testing again and again I finally resorted to uninstalling Opera 6.0 and Opera 6.04 from my system. Installing Opera 6.04 over again but leaving 6.0 off this time.

Opera 6.04 worked just fine after the re-installation like it had before.

There must be something in the interaction between Opera 6.0 and Opera 6.04 when installed and used on the same system that messes Opera 6.04 up. Even though both were installed into totally different directories.

Thanks for your input again.

I'm glad that your back in business again. I was fairly sure that the problem was NOT with the H-Sphere control panel, but it never pays to assume.

You know I don't know what it is but after a day of using Opera 6.04 following my new install, it stopped being able to use the fluid hosting control panel again.

I will have to also uninstall Opera 5.12 I guess, reinstall 6.04, and then see if it happens again. Perhaps Opera just can't be installed in more than one version on the same computer for some reason.

I won't be uninstalling Opera 5.12 for a while though. Got to transfer too many bookmarks and such over to 6.04 first not to mention that Opera 5.12 is faster than 6.04 though both are for sure faster and more efficiently useful than Internet Explorer for general surfing by far.

I guess I will go back to using Internet Explorer for the fluid control panel. Oh well. Can't have everything :).

Thanks again.
