I am looking forward to start a hosting business, but I am not sure if I should start with reseller hosting or dedicated server hosting. I have just 80 to 100$ to spare every month, please let me know the options so that I can choose from it. Thanks in advance. Looking forward for your help and assistance.
Warm Regards,

Maybe start with a Reseller from a reputable host that offers VPS and Dedicated as well. So incase you need to migrate in the future it will be an easy tasks and the same company can do it for you. Just my 2c. They keywords are "reputable host" :)

Hello,
I think starting with a reseller account is the best choice for you , later on you could upgrade to vps or a dedicated server

Hi save your money and get a reseller account. You won't have to worry about the hardware and you can spend valuable time and money developing your new reseller business.
It's a lot easier and cheaper to grow into a dedicated server, a reseller host that offers vps and dedicated would be ideal for you once you get your business going as others have mentioned already.

Marketing is more important than having your own server in the beginning. It's also easy to move up, whether or not with the same host, if you get a plan that has cPanel, because that can be copied from one server to another fairly easily.

Its up to you that what amount of money you will like to invest in the server/reseller .. and i think you must have the marketing plan in your mind too and the budget is already there.
However you can save money from getting a good reseller package .. i.e failover package with resellerzoom , they support your clients too through emails.
there starter failover package is for 25USD per month .. so you will be saving almost 60-75$ per month .. which you can use in some other stuff
If you buy a linux plan then you have to stick with it .. and you will be reselling only linux based hosting plans .. for windows you have to buy another reseller plan
But now in the industry there is a new technology which is cluster based hosting.. you buy one plan and you can host many your clients sites on which ever plateform you like. some companies which provide such services are .. cartikahosting.com , mosso.com , eirca.net
in you scenario i will suggest you mosso.com they provide as good space and bandwidth which you can compare with dedicated server ..
cartikahosting.com i never used it .. but it have a very good reputation here on WHT ..
eirca.net search the forum
I hope this will help

You should be looking more at who is a reliable reseller or who has a DC that has the best network and support. Just basing your purchase on price alone is a very bad idea.
