It just about fits all of my needs fastnoc 04-14-2007, 11:07 PM modernbill www.modernbill.com Jeff - Exceed 04-15-2007, 02:14 AM Clientexec and Modernbill are both pretty good. Andrew.S 04-15-2007, 03:57 AM I would have to say............... MODERNBILL v4 is the best of all! -p9- 04-15-2007, 04:00 AM UberSmith is the one I prefer. m4rk0 04-15-2007, 11:10 AM Also check WHMCS and AccountLab Plus the_pm 04-15-2007, 11:19 AM We've been using ModernBill, but I think we'll be dropping them in favor of Ubersmith soon. Ubersmith is very straightforward, friendly, and from what we've seen, not prone to errors and bugs, like the ModernBill software and interface. We went a couple months where ModernBill decided to just stop sending email invoices for no apparent reason. It's not a very comfortable situation having to go to customers who are paying a respectable amount of money per month (we use it for hosting fees and for Web site maintenance contracts) and tell them oops, our billing software crapped out (again), please send us a lump payment for the last three month. Not that customers aren't understanding, but it's unprofessional. Ditto on the interface. We've found it difficult to skin, and the default MB interface is both buggy and, IMHO, visually passe. The majority of the time MB has worked pretty well for us - luckily, very few of our customers have any reason to access it. But when it shows a weakness, it's not pretty! I think it's going to be Ubersmith for us soon. IHSL 04-15-2007, 01:31 PM Ubersmith (www.ubersmith.com), hands down. The things you can do with the order form are pretty much limitless. Everything is simple to manage: single URL to manage and custom limitless order forms, order form creation wizard, copying stylesheets from one order form to another, new order triggers, save order status for the user (so they can resume their order at a later date) and a slew of other options. Ubersmith, from an ordering standpoint, stands head and shoulders above its competitors. Simon stevewest15 04-15-2007, 04:12 PM Hi, Does anyone know how I can see a sample of the ubersmith working form? I see they a backend administration demo...but I couldn't find a demo of the front-end where customers can place an order using ubersmith. thx, SW stvliver 04-15-2007, 04:25 PM I'm using clientexec. Haven't try others yet because clientexec is fine enough for me now. saukwebsolutions 04-15-2007, 04:54 PM Also check WHMCS and AccountLab Plus I will 2nd WHMCS. Solid, and easy. Reseller Mike 04-15-2007, 04:57 PM We use WHMCS and we are happy with it. Matt is great he is fast with support. We used MB before and didnt like it due to it was bugy at the time we where using it. Clientexec is not bad at all. support is great and fast. IHSL 04-15-2007, 11:48 PM Hi, Does anyone know how I can see a sample of the ubersmith working form? I see they a backend administration demo...but I couldn't find a demo of the front-end where customers can place an order using ubersmith. thx, SW In the demo, select "setup and admin", scroll down to "manage order forms" and then you'll see all the demo forms. I'd advise you take a look at the customization options in the wizard. It's really quite nifty. Simon |
