in their AUP at http://www.4webspace.com/aup.html it says:
"You may not use your personal home page site to publish material that 4WebSpace.com determines, at its sole discretion, to be unlawful, indecent or objectionable."

but in these posts, adult material was specified:
http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=3890
http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=4492
http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=3965

and talked about more in-depth at:
http://webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=4348

wouldn't any form of adult material be considered objectionsble and indecent? in a lot of the posts, people keep saying that they DO allow adult hosting, others that they don't. which is it? do they allow it or not?

last i heard, you can host adult sites with adult content as long as they are legal and you own the copyrights to the material.

If you get a dedicated yes, if you get a shared plan, no. I think objectionable might be more along the terms of racist hate sites, microwaving cats, etc.

i personally dont find legal adult material indecent or objectionable however most illegal adult material i do. so its just another protection method for the host we do have to have those :)

so if someone had one of those morbid, purposeless sites about nothing in particular aside from microwaving cats or whatever, would it be considered objectionable even if it didn't have any hate messages or libel? what things specifically would be considered to be in direct violation of your AUP that's not illegal?

i was about to answer that question but as i was writing the answer i saw how it could be detrimental to existing customers to do so on a public forum, so im choosing not to comment.
