View Full Version : Those of you who run Client Exec
Ryan - HostATree 04-11-2007, 07:13 AM I have been getting a lot of people saying I should switch to Modern Bill since it integrates with Kayako. Yea, that would be awsome but I like the layout and look of Client Exec better. On top of that the tools are great. What is everyone else who is running client exec doing? Do you have it integrated with any support desk? Any suggestions?
markjut 04-11-2007, 03:42 PM Doesn't client exec have a built in support feature
logart 04-11-2007, 03:53 PM CE has a built in support desk that works fairly well and has email piping.
Ryan - HostATree 04-11-2007, 04:03 PM Yes, however we prefer to use Kayako. Just wondering if it would be worth integrating the two? Any suggestions?
CrazyTech 04-11-2007, 06:35 PM We're simply running both CE and our helpdesk. Several providers I used in the past did the same. I'd like to have them integrated sometimes, but at the same time, I like the idea of having those two aspects separate for the added security. It doesn't seem to be a problem for us, I've not had any complaints or anything.
daylightnetworks 04-11-2007, 06:41 PM I am using WHMCS, i like its layout and its support desk, we were using support trio andj ust changed everything t whmcs for now. just to ask would it be possible to integrate kayako with whmcs ? since in the future we would like to add kayako software...
martymart 04-11-2007, 08:08 PM i like ClientExec, being simple and fully functional. However, other the past few days trying to get the support mail piping works - no success. maybe i read the instructions wrong - today i managed to flood my e-mail with 1000 bounced mail message.
i'll give another few days to sort it out, failing so i may turn to WHMCMS... god pray...

Atarim 04-11-2007, 11:25 PM You might try ce-talk.com for support.
Jojja 04-12-2007, 04:44 AM We installed our helpdesk separately and just modified the ClientExec menu to point to the helpdesk.
It is not integrated but as it can only be accessed from within our clientexec we do not require registration to submit a ticket.
Highland Web 04-12-2007, 07:22 AM Client Exec gives you the option of using it's built-in helpdesk or pointing to an outside support system right from the user's control panel. when they click on support, they are taken either to the outside support system or the internal one, whichever you tell ClientExec when you configure it from the admin menu.
Pretty smooth.
Alberto 04-12-2007, 11:43 AM Just an FYI, we are looking at adding Kayako support now that we have a more elaborate module system. Stay tuned for an announcement in the coming month about that decision. Also our own support module is getting reworked for 3.1 and the majority of users will be more then happy with the included support module.
Sorry for the interruption, just wanted to inform the initial poster of the possible addition.
Ryan - HostATree 04-12-2007, 10:21 PM That would be great! :) We will be looking forward to this coming months announcement.
rentacast 04-13-2007, 11:50 AM Well in my personal exsperience modernbill has really only been best at what it does with dedicated servers and clientexec is superb with shared hosting so it depends what your company specializes in really.
