So, does anyone know what really happened to the PerlDesk forums? They were a really great support community and a way to give John feedback on the product, it's needs, feature requests, etc.
One day they went down, and they've been down ever since...

Since he started charging for support, the forums will prolly be closed to the people who just use it free...

He was charging for support before he closed the forums.
Is this something you know or simply speculation?

I noticed they've been down as well but honestly I just downloaded and installed PerlDesk so I'm not sure how long they've been down. I installed it and now get some message about using an illegal copy due to changing the links back to his site (which isn't the case) and thought to check the forums for a fix. I guess I'll just delete and try again.

speculation but since he removed the link to the forum on his main page, its logical that this would be the next move....

I sent John a note in early June and he replied that the forums would be back - however that was 5 weeks ago...
I was hoping someone here would know what's up, however I guess I'll send John another note.

I got the same answer from John.
Let us know what he says.
