It's the second time today that I mention www.instabill.com here :)
BTW, has anyone in here had some experience with those guys from instabill.com?

Stay away from Instabill! They are crooks and grey-area workaround artists. Some years ago we signed up with them. At that time they were in troubles and could not pay their merchants. They were as well thrown out of their bank contracts. We paid setup fee for a real Latvian merchant account and since they could not offer it anymore they refered us to some crap we did not want. We never got our setup fee back. They are supposed to be a UK company, if anyone knows of a UK lawyer who can sue for a refund, please let me know.

Unfortunately, don't know any lawyer in UK, but you can google for some law agencies in UK and contact them.

What about http://siteheart.com? Anyone used it? You know them, tfook?

And what are the main things you should think about when you are trying to choose where to open a merchant account?

And what are the main things you should think about when you are trying to choose where to open a merchant account?

some things to consider

# how easy it will be to receive your payments
# how often you will receive payments
# currency in which payments from clients will be accepted online
# currency in which payouts happen
# gateway / merchant account provider reputation
# location of provider
# integration with your website
# specific server requirements if any

Thanks a lot. I am intrested in the point "how often you will recieve payments". I have two friends, they want to start their own business. One of them want to sell oscillographs, they are rather expensive and not a lot of people need them, and the other one is constructing a web site, main product - different portable devices. It is obvious that the 2nd one will recieve more payments. so what is the main difference between them, if they want to open merchant accounts?
