We are looking into putting some of our servers at SAVVIS. From what they say they are one of the best with the #1 backbone 2 years in a row, or something like that.

XO Communications is pretty good as far as the connectivity goes. Nice data centers. Fully equipped. A bit on the pricey side, but if you want reliability and redundancy, they are good.

Ex:
Meg of bandwidth, cabinet $2500

Wow, that's pretty expensive! You may want to bargain it more with your sales rep.

Some people already own their own servers.

I haven't ever seen a dedicated server that runs Slackware (not that I looked hard, never seen one that has my hardware specs either).

As far as the original topic goes
Good review: affordablecolo.com

If you're in the CO / Denver area, you should consider Ventures Online for colocation. www.venturesonline.com.

Because that $30 more never goes away and you never own the box.
