Someone I know has been using Hostonce.com to host her website and she was (quite understandably) irritated when they were unreliable and slow, quite to the contrary to what it says on their home page.
Here's the email she sent me:
The site was yanked by the web hosts on Friday, with
no warning or notice of any kind, and they are refusing
to restore it even for the short period of time needed
until I can find another host and transfer the domain.
If this bothers you, I encourage you to write to
support@hostonce.com and admin@hostonce.com
to express your displeasure. I also encourage
you to spread the word about HostOnce' deceptive
marketing, dishonest sales practices, and
failure to honor its contracts.
I've found a new host for the site, but the domain
cannot be transferred until HostOnce releases
the necessary information to the new hosts.
(Name removed)
I wrote an email of complaint about this and almost immediately this was sent back:
Sir,
Unfortunately we are unable to enter into discussing concerning the accounts
of third parties and are therefore unable to help you.
I have passed your email onto our legal team who will tkae measures and use
the full force of the law to ensure you do not harrass or defile our name.
Regards
HostOnce.com
Which does not exactly give them a good name if they are less than willing to admit that their service is complete rubbish. Had they apologised for the way the service is and gave word that something would be done about it, it would have been a lot better:mad:
So, naturally, I am sceptical about any branch of Hostonce
