View Full Version : Email to fax
John[H4Y] 04-06-2007, 02:05 PM Hello,
Which company do you guys recommend for an email to fax gateway? We may have a use for it if it is quite reliable and cost-effective.
zacharooni 04-06-2007, 02:41 PM RingCentral
John[H4Y] 04-06-2007, 03:52 PM Our primary use would be to send outgoing faxes. We don't have much of a need for a new fax number or another toll free line.
John[H4Y] 04-06-2007, 04:33 PM It does not have to be specifically email to fax either - It can be web-based or otherwise internet based.
Corey Bryant 04-06-2007, 04:39 PM We use Freedom Fax for most of the services. If you are on a Exchange server GFI (http://www.gfi.com) is a good service as well.
spaethco 04-11-2007, 01:34 PM I've used MaxEmail (http://www.maxemail.com/) for a few months now and have been very happy with the service.
futureadvanced 04-11-2007, 02:08 PM Hi,
We use TrustFax.com . It is great whether you are sending faxes or receiving them.
kustomjs 04-11-2007, 04:52 PM does anybody know any free software from linux will do this?
bitesites 04-11-2007, 09:32 PM MaxEmail is a great service!
JoJo MoJo 04-16-2007, 09:33 AM hylafax is on the top spot when it comes to this. But there are many others out there, personally speaking the above mentioned is a pretty good one for me.
faltboat 05-07-2007, 05:10 PM i've used fax1.com several times. it's 12 cents a page--and you can do web fax (from their website) email fax, or install their printer driver and just do "file-print" from your file. you get $1 for faxes when you sign up. i've been happy w/it.
give efax.com a try, they have free trial to test their service
FrankStallone 05-08-2007, 05:46 AM eFax is good and has decent international service. Just sent any fax to FaxNumber@efaxsend.com.
Adam-AEC 05-24-2007, 01:51 PM No experience with this company, but the value can't be beat.

1000 pages (in/out) per month for $12.95. $0.03 per page after the 1000.
Bannaz 05-27-2007, 05:03 AM efax does seem to be pretty big. I've seen some major advert campaigns for them too. :)
Jimerson 05-27-2007, 03:30 PM send2fax.com is what I have been using.
Brown 05-28-2007, 01:39 PM I've been using faxitnice.com for quite sometime now and I must say they are pretty reliable.
Patrick 05-28-2007, 07:09 PM I used eFax for a while and found the service to be pretty good.
There have been a few horror stories about canceling, but it was pretty painless. :)
FrankStallone 06-01-2007, 05:57 AM Efax is big. Publicly traded (http://finance.google.com/finance?q=jcom&hl=en). $1.65B big. Another good one is myfax.com (http://www.myfax.com). They used to have a messy site, but have cleaned up the service.
johnseeham 08-08-2007, 01:33 AM Efax is pretty good, easy to use and has a nice software interface for sending and receiving faxes
efax has been around for a while too. I have a personal number with them (free) that I hardly ever use, and yet they've kept it assigned to me for years.
oopsinfotech 10-09-2007, 02:01 AM i had tried various providers but efax is best, have been using it for years.
Bannaz 10-21-2007, 05:32 AM It looks like efax is the most popular too. Their advert campaigns must really work. :)
NEXCS-Greg 10-21-2007, 11:48 AM We use eFax and it's pretty easy to use, works great. No complaints here!
Patrick67 10-21-2007, 03:14 PM I used to work for a company that used Efax and it was pretty decent. All faxes came in as email attachments which we could then file. Only thing I didnt like was you had to install a efax viewer to open the attachments but this may have changed as I have not used it in 2 or 3 years.
afree2 10-21-2007, 06:20 PM what if i want to use my own existing fax numbers instead of virtual or new efax numbers?
Then you can either port the number (assuming the provider support it) or set up HylaFax on a box, connect it to your fax line, and do the fax<->email yourself.
Mikey this way! 10-28-2007, 02:20 PM We've been using MyFax.com for quite some time now. We use it mostly for Outgoing Faxes and the service is great.
phonedev 11-11-2007, 01:39 PM Ringcentral/800PBX/GotVMail - all have a nice way to receive faxes over your toll-free number at a very low cost price. They can also send faxes for the same price which is a huge PLUS.
GixxerPC 11-20-2007, 11:22 AM I use Ringcentral.
Toll Free Tax # + 800 #.
hekwu 11-20-2007, 06:21 PM I use a toll free number with kall8 to rec faxes... I also use that number for other business stuff, so it works out... only $2 a month.
I send faxes maybe two or three times a year, so I drive up to officeDepot or someplace like that and send the fax... unless I can get away with sending it from some free fax service online... then I just google "free fax" and pick a service that does not require any info and send. lol
