My server has been down for a week now atleast. The website www.multipleimage.com does not load. Been emailing support, get no response. I am being totally ignored. This is the 2nd major down time I've had with them. The last one lasted 20+ days.

Is anyone else's server down..? My server was on the 64.200

There are several threads about them recently.

Here is one of them :-

20 days downtime is really serious.

I've had a few doubleplusungood experiences with multipleimage.

I'm glad I got out when I did

Kryptonite

Yes.

It is getting very annoying, I didn't have a lot of important things on the server, but that does not justify this ridiculous downtime.

Tim does not answer my icq messages.

You're Right. I can't imagine the trouble you're going though....

That's not downtime. That's "we've packed up and we're outta here". Astala Vista baby.

It was terrible

We had to get all new ips too. I mean I often wonder, HOW did multipleimage manage to still keep customers ?? keeping them down for 20+ days

thats horrible

TimPD

Are you still down?

Kryptonite
07-09-2002, 04:01 AM
yes
still down

Even when it was up, it takes 24 hours just to reboot my server.

I'm not really that stressed about it, because nothing real important was on there, but still, it just upsets me that I have no access to it what so ever.

I'm still counting the days of downtime, still going.

I've almost got to agree with Aussie Bob here. I plucked the following phone number from the WHOIS report on multipleimage.com -- +1-520-795-0710. Maybe those of you who are clients might like to call that number and see if you can contact them.

Good luck.

Ehh...

Through their whois (http://www.samspade.org/t/whois?a=EMB00001&server=whois.totalnic.net) info I get the name Timothy Embler in AZ.... I can't find anyone named Embler in the state of AZ.... Don't truely know what that means. Sometimes the online phone books can be out of date but, you never know.

The good thing is that the 795 exchange in the 520 area code really does goto east Tucson so that might be a valid phone number if it's not disconnected.

Aside from that if anyone in Tucson wants to go bang on their doors (http://mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&address=3201+e+seneca+st&city=tucson&state=az&zipcode=&homesubmit.x=17&homesubmit.y=17) and see if anyone's home, I'd like to know what they find.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Sorry for the double post....

But, I have some more info for yall...

From August 29th, 2001
--> Post to ISP-List (http://isp-lists.isp-planet.com/isp-webhosting/0108/msg00834.html)
------ Shows a previous domain of everydayhosting.com
------ No page at site. NetSol Whois (http://netsol.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois?STRING=everydayhosting.com&SearchType=do)

Now this is the intresting one.

From May 29th, 2002

Post to isp-bandwidth.com (http://www.mail-archive.com/isp-bandwidth@isp-bandwidth.com/msg06339.html) requesting a burstable DS3... He got no replies...

From June 1st, 2002

Post to isp-bandwidth.com (http://www.mail-archive.com/isp-bandwidth@isp-bandwidth.com/msg06417.html) requesting DS3 quote again. The intresting thing is that he's asking for a connection at a different address than what was listed in the whois for his current company

TransAmerica building
177 N Church Ave
Tucson, AZ 85701

This is still using his multipleimage email address.

Now guess who used that address?
Nah... It couldn't be...

RTD Systems & Networking (http://scn.martinobrien.com/ABUSE/SHYDAVID/FORGERIE/ADDRESS.HTM)

Now why is he looking for a DS3 at his old business address?...

I really don't know what yall think.. But, I'm completely confused.

Here is a reply I received from Timothy Embler at around 10AM Est. on the 2nd.

"Hello. Our network is currently up. Our site is down because of a problem with moving those web servers but they should be back online today. This is only affecting our corporate servers.

An example of an IP on network that is pingable is 64.200.60.210. This is one of the servers we use for testing.

Thank you,
Tim"

At the time, the IP was pingable, I haven't tried it since though and it does not work now.

I let them know the other IPs that I use that are currently not working and Tim asked for a root password saying " I will go ahead and have someone check it out for you."
This was on the 3rd. I haven't heard from him since. He resigned on ICQ earlier today though, maybe he will respond to an email if he ever gets around to it.

The only off-network email address I have of theirs is: multipleimage@bblabs.net

Last I was told was they were waiting for propagation for their name servers for their domain

but that was on the 3rd

I don't think it takes this long, really.

I started out hosting with ASPCODEHOSTING.NET -- and they lost all of my files and data -- and Stefan just stopped responding to my emails.

at some point Stefan switched to use MultipleImage servers and they were working part of the time.. but my SQL data was still lost.

I eventually heard from someone at MultpleImage (Tim )a few weeks ago to find out if everything was straightened out with ASPCODEHOSTING -- and then everything at multiple image went down last week -- and now MultipleImage is conspicuously absent.

I'm so angry and frustrated -- but there is nothing I can do other than spread the word about how much these companies suck and shouldn't be allowed to do business online. The server unreliability is one thing -- but the fact that they leave all of there paying customers in the dark is totally unacceptable. -- I haven't heard from them in weeks but another month's charge just came through on my C.C. -- Unbelievable!!

Thanks for letting me vent.

Harder to believe is customers sticking around and continuing to pay for services they don't receive for the better part of the month.

If you have so much money to throw away, why not spend a buck or two (at most) and call the host to find out what's up? I did, and I can tell you their number is working.

Disclaimer: I'm not a Multipleimage customer. I'm just not afraid to make phone calls.

I called the number posted in this thread. There is a recording and you can leave a message, which I didn't do since I really have no business bothering them. Just wanted to demonstrate how easy it is since no one seems to have tried. LOL

Ohh

Well.... I thought they actually picked up.

Of course there is a recorded message dude. I don't think they would pick up, especially with all the things going on right now...

No surprise that they didnt pick up though

My prediction is this is the end of Multipleimage

oh well

No telling what it means, but an answering machine isn't always a sign of doom. I was simply trying to be helpful by verifying that the phone number worked since someone expressed doubt about it.

I am not sure who you are. Please e-mail me at tembler@multipleimage.com and with the name on your account and I will look into this for you.

Get-Hosted.com

Please go ahead and e-mail myself as well and we can discuss your account.

Our mail servers are up and running currently. Our site is down but will be back up shortly.

And btw we have multiple locations in Tucson, Arizona. That is why we have multiple addresses in Tucson.

And clocker not that much is going on right now. We did move our corp sites over and experienced a few problems with that. But dedicated/colo servers should not have been affected.

That's a long downtime for your site, without telling customers. What were your customers supposed to do about support in that time? What if they needed an emergency reboot?

Our phone system was still being manned. We did check our voicemail every 30-45 minutes if it did go to voicemail as well.

Plus some clients have cell phone numbers and off network e-mail accounts.

Us? We actually have not lost a single customer with our site being down. There are a lot of other ways to contact us.

I replied to the email you sent me 7/3 asking something and letting me know you'd have someone check out my server.
There has been no reply, and the server is still down.

Contacting you might not have been the problem. The problem to me was you contacting your customer. It's Not good to just disappear. Especially if I don't know your # offhand, and the only way to contact you is an ICQ # which is never replied to, or an off network email address that I just happened to have because of the last major outage.

20+ day downtimes multiple times? (I do belive you were down along time before this.)

How in the heck do you still have customers?

Well.. If the sites down... It's pretty hard to cancel :D

Now... Give it a month when the requests for partial refunds for the outages roll in... After they refuse to (if they choose to), then you'll see the exodus...

True. Considering from the sounds of it, they avoided their customers.

But this isn't the first time this has happened...

OK so you suspended my account for non-payment because you charged me for around 150GB of bandwidth I did not use and I had a few other questions about wrongful charges. I email you with my concerns about the charges, you then proceed to take my server offline WITHOUT notice, and then shut down your website so I cannot contact you.

Do you not realize a business is run off of this account?

My account with them is still locked due to a billing error on their part. Their server was down from the 1st-10th, after this I was lucky to get a response within 2 days of sending an email, and once I did their email hasn't worked since the 12th to let me reply. Tim ignores my requests in emails to chat live by any method, he only replies by email about once every two days, and their phone is never answered. With all of this they had the nerve to shut my server off without notice. This is getting to be like the 24+ days of downtime we had where they offered us about 2/3 of a months credit. All I need is access to a bit of my data that wasn't moved.
