Check the stats, call support and let them know if they don't already. It's important to let your host know about this as soon as possible to avoid later problems.

Possible causes:
--- DOS (That'd be my first guess... But, your host would notice that)

--- The so eloquently put "oh-me-so-h0rny" items suck up bandwidth when discovered

--- Maybe you got popular :D...

Aside from that w/ 27 gigs in a night your host probably (obviously did if they sent you an invoice) noticed that traffic leaving their networks...

Check your logs when they refresh and ask your host to see if their servers are infected or if there was DOS attack...

Something happened, obviously :D...

I had the same thing happen to me with one of my clients...allegedly he went through 3.5 GB a day for a one-week period according to Webalizer. I ended up proving the host wrong (who shall remain anonymous, but I will say that it's not one I picked myself) by showing the page views and downloads put together (since there was nothing on this client's site to download, there was no mathematical way that this could have occurred.)

I guess what I'm trying to say is to take the stats and try to find a way to disprove them.
