I would like to start my own hosting service....using reseller plans. I am currently with http://www.canadawebhosting.com and I want to get my own free:

trouble ticket system
liveperson look-alike chat for sales people

I want all to be free...i have seen the liveperson alike for free somewhere.

Can anyone suggest anything?

I do not want to use databases, i would refer flat files.

1) Move mouse arrow to top of page where it says search.
2) Press left mouse button while arrow is above 'search'.
3) Type 'free helpdesk', 'free live person' or something down that road.
4) Look at the hundreds of results and kick yourself for not thinking of doing this earlier.

Well, you can go to http://www.bravenet.com and sign up to get Humanclick free. You will not have the live monitoring, but you will at least have the chat and buttons.

Personally, I think it is worth the $20 a month for the service. Especially when you are running a hosting company, you gotta look at it, how much are you willing to spend on your customers to make sure they are happy?

Yeah get PerlDesk as said above and go to www.trillian.cc and download Trillian and signup for a AIM, Y!, ICQ and MSN screenname's and offer support that way.. I find it works way better than any liveperson or humanclick..,

why has it got to be flat file?

And I reccommend ClickChatSold for live chat.
