I have a dual PIII server with 1GB of RAM using
the linux kernel 2.4.9 smp.

I would like upgrade the memory to 2 GB of RAM

Do you know if linux accept more than one 1GB of ram
without the recompilation of the kernel ?

If not, what I have to change in the config file
of the kernel

Thanks.
Chris

You'll need to recompile kernel to support 2GB or more of RAM. But it will support. In kernel its called "High memory support" if I'm right

You should upgrade the kernel anyway :D
