mas3000 07-09-2002, 01:13 AM Very nice deal, again, ^Kyo.:D
cascompany 07-09-2002, 01:28 AM Kyro ... very interesting ...
do your Cpanel licences work and will work ? :D
I'm interested ...
Are you thinking in a No setup offer ?
When are you thinking in have the servers up?
Regards.
Asher S 07-09-2002, 11:27 AM Yes, why would our licenses not work? Maybe you're confusing us with Paradise Designs? :D
No we have no intentions of offering free setup, this is is expensive hardware :)
It'll take us 10 days to have these setup and we need a few preorders first.
Regards,
Asher.

levik 07-11-2002, 03:28 PM Did any of you guys sign up for this yet? I'm a bit uneasy paying up front for a server before the company even has a website...
But the deal is VERY sweet.

Our company website is launching this week Serverwarehouse.net
On the other note as far as 'uneasyness' goes, I am a well known person across this forum and most people know me and quite a few people have signed up for servers from me and are well satisfied.

diederik 07-11-2002, 04:21 PM You can trust him :)
Asher S 07-11-2002, 10:42 PM Just to update everybody on the deal, those who do not like Cogent bandwidth can opt for Premium Level3 bandwidth (150 gigs instead of 450gig).
.::DefCon::. 07-12-2002, 03:06 AM Is it possible to get more IP's per server? I need about 50... would it cost me extra? Or are they free per ARIN guidelines?
universal2001 07-12-2002, 07:20 AM yes.. thats what I would like to know as welll.. IP cost.. It would be REALLY REALLY nice if we could get IPs for a one time fee or even better... get first 50 IPS for free... :)
universal2001 07-12-2002, 07:21 AM ops forgot to ask.... how much for a second HD??
Do you have APC switches with these machines?
:D
Marty 07-12-2002, 11:00 AM This is a nice offer, but understand that the 1.7 Ghz Celeron has a half the cache mem of the 1.2 and 1.3 version. Many benchmarks are showing that the 1.7 is actually slower than the 1.3 in applications where cache is important. I am not sure how this would affect a webserver, and I am certainly not knocking the offer here. It is a good offer. I have yet to see a 1.7 Celeron with the same level of on chip cache as the 1.2 and 1.3.

Not in all aspects at all. Try it in webhosting :) I have 2 of these boxes for my own sites and our corporate sites and they are faster than our 1.3GHz Celerons.

Defcon,
Ips are NOT free, ips are a limited resource, there are no arin guidelines which make ips free :) Everyone pays for IP addresses.
What I can do is, I can include 10 ips for free. Additional ips are 50cents per ip per month bought in blocks of 10.

Do you need a second hard disk for raid 1? Or just a second hard disk ? In the latter case a 40GB 7200 RPM one can be put in the machine for $99 one-time.

We can give you master switch access for $10 per month.
universal2001 07-12-2002, 03:51 PM do you have any type of one-time setup fees for IPs? there are probably a few hosts out there who would want this box to put on shared hosting accounts, a charge for each IP per month is not viable for such businesses and as a result these businesses would much prefer if there was a one-time setup fee solution...

No I am afraid at the moment we cannot offer one time solutions. Sorry.
.::DefCon::. 07-12-2002, 04:22 PM And how much for high quality bandwidth overusage? I assume that's not 50 cents per GB right? ;)
