Hi,

I just found a new Ded.Server.Provider with very cheap Prices (for Germany): Server4Free.de (http://www.server4free.de/) !

Looks like that Germany gots his own Version of Rackshack*/Nocster* :D
Why:
1.) 55 GB Traffic included is very much for this Price, normaly you get for the Start 5 or max. 10 GB.
2.) A ControllPanel (something like CPanel; Admin, Reseller, User) is included; OK its the Lite-Version.

This is also good: The Server comes PreConfig with some GameServerSoftware ! Good Idea :cool:

The Site is complett in German but I think with a little Help of Babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/) or Babylon (http://www.babylon.com/) (near) anybody can read there Site.

[* Note: I dont have anything against Rackshack or Nocster and I dont want to bash them ! Hey I have a Server from Nocster]

They are not the only provider of cheap servers, visit www.webhostlist.de to find more...
But it's the same as in the US: you get what you pay for :)

You cannot sign up. Youneed a valid german ID and a german bank account. I signed up for fun (45 Euros is not too much) cause I have all that...

The attitude towards sex (obviously they're trying to sell accounts with the girl on the site) in germany is much, much more relaxed than in the USA...

I've watched quite a bit of German TV and they have no problems about showing breasts. They are much more open there about sex as well.

I don't know though, if the server was anything comparible to that girl I think it might explode at high usage *cough*

Although dirt cheap, it gets expensive if you need more than 55GB traffic or many ip's:

Additional traffic: 5 Euro/GB only
Additional IP: Only 5 Euro/month

So if you need 150GB you will be paying more than $500.

I've seen worse, from my calculation 5 Euro is about 5USD which is not the best but far from the most expensive.

the only problem with server4free is, that they aren't reliable... they'r having network problems, bad support (phone support costs 1,50euro or sth. per minute) so basically it may look cheap, but, as of what i've read of (ex)costumers, it'll get pricey, when you need additional stuff and/or support. And afaik support is only avaible (for reboot etc. from Mon-Fri from 8-18 o'clock) anyway ... if you really want good value for a small amount of money, you should try puretec.de they'r having about the same package (it's called Root Server L for 49Euro with 50GB traffic), but in a much better datacenter and with much better support, online restore of your server and so on. though the setup takes about one to two weeks, as they'r having such a high demand.

You guys are gettin it wrong... their slogan is "the crazy server guys". So the guy in the pop up is askin "Would you like some more?", which is what butcher clerks often say... at least in germany... they're only advertising their amd 2000mhz, 1024mb ram, 80gb hd, 55gb traffic for €95. And the wacky lady with the big boobs on the front page is not that pornographic imo, although i was quite irretated the first time I visited that page. It says "Big Thing! Now including 55GB Traffic" right next to her... so once again its just suppose to be a "crazy" advertisment.

I heard they're pretty unrealiable too, they dont seem to have a good working cooling system and they only use regular pc's (white boxes) instead of racks.
