I sent a private message to Burst's rep but have not received a feedback:

1) Is it possible to use simply sub-domains for different accounts? For example user1.mydomain.com, user2.mydomain.com, user3.mydomain.com ..... What I mean is using sub-domains for DIFFERENT accounts within the same server.

2) How do I know if the CPU is overloaded?

3) How do I know if there is bandwidth traffic congestion (such as during peak hours)?

1) Apparently you can but I haven't been able to get it to work for me. The subdomain will just be added as a normal account in my CPanel but when trying to resolve to that subdomain nothing is found. Might be because the main domain is actually hosted on a different server and I have 4 nameservers set up for that domain (2 for the server I tried to put the subdomains on and 2 for the server the main site is on).
2) WHM also has CPU monitoring built in, so you wouldn't even need to access the server via shell.

Or with this script:

http://www.r-fx.net/sim.php

I loaded it on two on my Ensim boxes and it works great.

Just having a hard time getting the crontab to work. :(

Regarding sub-domains not working.. this may come as an obvious answer to some, but make sure your domain has a wildcard set up:
*.domain.com -> your site

This will need to be done in your nameserver if you are not doing dns on the cpanel machine.

2) How do I know if the CPU is overloaded?

Usually when you type in the url and get 404 page not found.... Just kidding, but it happens lol :D

I have been using the script above. If the CPU gets to a certain load (one you set) then it sends you a warning via email.

The there is a "critical" stage, emails you as well (if it can), but you can it it up to reboot the server if the load gets to a unacceptable level.

Pretty cool.

Worth a look.
